In my younger days I always had big booming stereos. That faded away but I do still like to have some good bass in my music. Installed this in a little nissan D21 pickup so it's a pretty small cab. It has been awhile since I messed with tuning frequencies but I have it sounding pretty good so far. If you try to crank it on the low frequencies it does distort but overall for what it is I am very pleased. Comes with everything you need to install for either low or high outputs. Not sure why it has the fancy light show stuff when it's just going under or behind the seat. Has a wired remote to control volume on the woofer separately. This is a decent subwoofer. IT comes with everything you need to install it in the box. It works fine. Its not going to give you big booming bass, but it will give you much needed low end that will enhance your stereo. I found that I have to have it pretty much maxxed out to really hear it, but I didnt mount it under my car seat as there just isnt room under there. Maybe in a truck it will have more room under the seat. But what I did do was mount it to the rear of my back seat in my station wagon, and it does produce some infilling of the low bass that my car needed. It works well for me overall, could be louder overall, but for the size and depth of this, I didn;t expect it to be booming with bass, nor do I want it to boom with bass. It does give me better sound in the car on the bass side which makes my music sound much better so overall. Good for me. ... show more

I got this for my 04 Jeep wrangler, i was going to put it under the passenger seat but the brackets don’t match up which is fine. I just put it behind the back seat. I wasn’t looking for extreme bass just wanted to be able to hear music when the top is down. This does what I need it to do, it adds quite a bit of bass, and doesn’t require much room. First I have to admit that I love how this looks and that was a big part of why I got it. The good news is that it’s impressive even beyond the looks. It’s easy to install and surprisingly thin for a sub in a box. It doesn’t lose any depth of sound at all even in the thin build. It sounds fantastic as well.
