My 12' x 13' bedroom is on the second level of an old house with poor heating, and this has been a life-saver this winter. It's super quiet, only a very occasional click is what I hear when it's on. It has a slightly bright orange light on the front of it when it's on. For light-sensitive sleepers that may be annoying, but a bit of electrical tape over the light is a quick fix. Quickly assembled wheels make it easy to move around the room. I'd say the power cord is a little on the short side, but it's perfect for this room size or a little larger. I haven't noticed a significant increase in our energy bill since using it, but I only run it for the 7 to 9 hours I'm sleeping. I haven't even had to set the temp gauge any higher than medium-low because it works so well. I can't recommend this enough! ... show more

    • Quiet heat source, easy controls, simple.
I chose this because it looks identical to another one I have, other than the brand name. Had the other one a year now with no problems but that brand no longer sells a simple model like this. The controls are simple and easy to use, no complicated digital buttons or displays to complicate things. I like too that it is portable, easy to move around as needs change or to find the best spot in the room for effective heating. Easy to store out of the way when not in use during the summer. I had been using ceramic disk heaters which have a fan. they were not that loud or disturbing, but i now like to watch video on my tablet with volume pretty low. i would have to turn volume up when those were on, then down when they went off. Using the master heat pump just the air vents make a lot of noise and i don't really need to heat the entire house when i usually only occupy a couple of rooms. So I decided to try the radiator type device. It is great since it makes zero noise. so far on low and 40-50% thermostat my master bedroom has remained comfortable, might have to turn up some as winter sets in but i've enjoyed the dead silence or still being able to hear my video without the volume blasting at full or having to constantly adjust it. ... show more

    • Warm, silent, and EXACTLY what I needed!
This is probably one of my favorite items I now own. I live in a college town with the college-housing that is notorious for having pretty bad insulation. My apartment also has the type of heater that blows a gust of hot air only at one temperature; so, you can't leave it on or you get too hot, but the moment you turn it off, you're freezing again. I needed something that would give me a quiet, consistent heat that would turn off when at the temperature I wanted it at, so that I could study comfortably. I use this radiator in my bedroom which is decently big and it heats it up wonderfully. I'm sure it could do bigger areas, but I haven't tried. Assembly took a total of maybe 2 minutes--you just flip it over and screw in the wheels, and then it's ready to go! You can plug it in and use it right away. There were no smells and no sounds. The only sound you hear is a soft "click" as it turns on or off depending on where you've kept your temperature arrow. I leave mine on low power with the temperature dial hardly turned up, and it keeps my room right where I want it. I'm sure it has the capacity to do more, plus, it has a safety feature which is comforting. ... show more

    • Great for heating a room
If a space heater is a frying pan, this radiator is a crock pot. It took me a while to figure out that when I turn it on, I don't so much feel heat as I do an absence of cold. It just sits there, completely silent, not too hot to the touch, looking like it isn't doing anything at all, but after a while, you're thinking to yourself, "Man, it's kinda warm in here." It heats my bedroom up all super nice and toasty, but isn't quite powerful enough when I take it out into the front room/living room/kitchen area. That's a little too much square footage for it. Overall, I'm very happy with it. Considering getting a second one next winter so I don't have to wheel it around from room to room. Not an arduous task by any means. I'm just that lazy. ... show more

Bought this for our oversized master bedroom and it does the job no problem. Never had to turn the power any higher than first setting and thermostat never above midway. Very happy with this purchase.

UPDATE: Purchased 2nd Heater - now my entire apartment is warm and cozy. The 1st one in my bedroom I have set on lowest setting and I sleep very comfortably even when the outside temp is in the 30's. The 2nd one is in my Living Room. It throws out enough heat to warm the room, as well as the kitchen and dining area. Between the 2 units the warm air flows throughout the entire apartment and my wall thermostat reads 70 or better at all times. Can't wait to see my next Electric bill.........so happy I don't have to turn the big unit on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT - BUY 1 OR 2 AND SAVE ON YOUR ELECTRIC COST. Took it out of the box attached wheels plugged it in and turned it on. The heat started coming up quickly and I could tell that the area was warming up. I have it in my bedroom, the coldest room in the house and it should warm it up enough to make me comfortable at night. Tonight will be a true test since temperatures are supposed to be in the 30s. ... show more
