    • Flimsy and Inaccurate
I put it together in about 15 minutes. The quality of the handle and control seems cheap and flimsy. When I put the fertilizer in the bucket and followed the manufacturers instructions, I used up half a bag in 2 passes because the flow rate was not properly calibrated. I resorted to eyeballing it.     • It's worse than I expected
I mean, I knew I was buying a cheap one but it's worse than I thought it would be. The biggest issue for me is the tiny little cotter pin that is supposed to act as an agitator in the hopper. Extremely ineffective. Ive been trying to make other agitators out of coat hanger wire or small screws but they haven't really worked out yet. ... show more

The setting handle is stopped by the cheapest little clip. It moves when you push it forward. Sometimes when you pull it back too. Otherwise would be great. And I didn't find it to spread very wide

    • Don't Know Where to Start
Returned after first use. Support bar too low, drags atop the grass. Careful when loading the hopper as the support bar also collapses in when loaded w/material due to weak locking mechanism. Worse, the spread setting retaining clip is weak and frequently slips out of position when opening and closing the gate. Very frustrating, On top of that, it does not spread evenly, especially on a lower gate setting. Clogs frequently and you need to shake and/or bounce the unit to release the material, clearing the clog. Unfortunate. Way too much money for this product.     • Still getting the hang of it
Purchase this spreader because I was tired of the Scotts spreaders that you get out of home Depot and Lowe's. This one definitely was easier to put together. The only issue I have is it seems to have a much higher flow even on the lowest setting than other spreaders. I love the capacity and the wheels with the bucket design makes maneuvering around the yard very easy. ... show more

    • It's better than I expected
For the money, the spreader was better than I expected. The construction is heavy duty it looks like it can take some punishment. However, the instructions are vague and leave a lot to be desired. I had to disassemble it a couple of times to get it right. Once I got it right, it was wonderful.

    • Great at salting a steep driveway!
I was worried because the wheels are not pneumatic, but they work great in the snow and ice! We have a long, steep driveway in New England and we got a foot of snow today. I am happy to report that it worked great, and I was able to salt our driveway in 5 minutes. It was very easy to assemble too, thanks to a helpful YouTube video. ... show more
