I had a pool pole I bought here on Amazon 3 or 4 years ago. It was nothing special and the single locking collar wore out quickly. This new pole is unbelievably good. The locking mechanisms are threaded. Easy to adjust. There a pole piece that extends the length of the pole included. I can vacuum my pool from one side. If you’re shopping for a pool pole stop here and buy this one. It’s the same price as the poles at the big box stores but much better quality.

I ordered the 12' version of this pole and returned it because it was wobbly when fully extended. The 16" version feels much stronger and I don't need to extend it all the way out.

The pole was ok at first and was able to hold its position, but eventually no matter how tight you twist the lock it will constantly collapse. It keeps making you retighten but never stays locked. Do not recommend.

Time to replace the old pool. After.a couple of months, I can say that the pole is holding up well. Really like the ability of making significant length adjustments. Pole is sturdy and easily connects to brush or a net.

I was hoping that this would be a step up from the junky blue poles that we go through way too quickly. I was excited that it was 16 ft long, as opposed to the 12 ft ones that were easier to source. However, when pulling a (small) skimmer basket full of leaves out of the deep end, one section of the pole bent like a straw. Nothing new for an aluminum pool pole to break, just disappointing. I thought maybe I could combine segments from different poles, but the way that this is assembled you can't just replace one segment.

Have an outdoor fiberglass pool close to oak leaves and the oak tree is winning. Bought two poles so that I could use both the small and large brush without having to stop brushing. This pole is much sturdier than my prior blue swimming pool pole. I am not using one of the inserts as that would make it too cumbersome, but the extension without it is ample and manageable. So far both poles are working well -- no bending and easy to extend when needed.
