I love this ice maker. We had our first batch of ice in under 10 minutes. It makes chewable ice. Also it takes up less space than coffee maker, and easy to use. It is very convenient to have at home

This unit does NOT have a water feed feature. It ONLY has a reservoir. Rufus pointed this out as a maker to replace one I had that did have a water feed, and I specifically asked if it did (to double verify), and Rufus said yes. That is NOT true. That is very annoying. Aside from that, it works well. Makes chewable ice in quantity. I just wish it had the water feed so I don't have to constantly fill it. The filtered water feed line has a valve on it now, so I can fill it directly, which takes out part of the pain. I'll see if I can fix the old one (it's 2 years old and recently started screaming. Like is has a bad rubber belt in it). Them I'll have 2 ice makers, one of which would have the feed line.

We bought this as a house Christmas present for ourselves and we love it It runs quietly with an occasional sound of what sounds like a gear working hard. The ice is as described in the description and our family of two has fresh ice all the time. We have several bags in the freezer as well but prefer it fresh from the icemaker. The ice catcher isn't refrigerated so when the ice melts the water is recycled to make more ice. It takes up very little room on the counter. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys this type of ice and want a small capacity of ice made at the time. It serves our 2 member household perfectly.
