I wanted a nice clock for my mantel… but I really struggle to read analog clocks. I happened upon this and it is seriously awesome! It was already assembled so that wasn’t an issue for me. It was pretty easy to program with the buttons and I love the different color modes so you can customize it to your preference. Note that it only came with a USB cord so you need your own USB plug adapter. It also doesn’t appear to have a battery backup (or if it does it’s inside the casing and not easily accessible). I really *wanted* to like/love this Nixie style clock, but alas, it is not for me. I first learned about Nixie tube clocks, and started to shop for one for my own birthday. While shopping, I encountered Nixie style clocks, where the digits are created by LEDs or OLEDs, and in this case, there are 10 small clear plastic pieces closely stacked together for each digit, and are lit by LEDs under the plastic pieces. The instructions are pretty straight forward: one peels off the brown paper that covers the front & back of each plastic “chip”, and then all 10 are placed in the holder, and the little brown wood piece is placed on top of the numbers, and screwed down. Repeat x6. The photo shows more easily what I mean. Since I’m OCD & and “neat freak”, assembly took WAY longer than expected. The brown paper is very thin, and it is difficult to separate it from the plastic piece, even if you have adequate fingernails. The digits with inner segments or circles (e.g. 4, 6, 8, & 9) are extra hard to peel, because the inner paper pieces tend to stay behind, and now you have to be extra careful peeling those pieces off, lest you scratch the plastic. The plastic pieces are very “staticky”, so even if you are working in a very clean environment, tiny dust particles are drawn to them. Even using a microfiber cloth to clean them does not help a whole lot, so as you look through the stack of clear numbers, you’ll see dust pieces. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to one of those super “clean rooms” used in microprocessor plants, LOL. Even though I’m not the most severe neat freak (I would grade myself 7 out of 10), this bothered me enough that I’m returning this clock, and I’m going to shop for one of those with just 1 single LED type digit, kept under a glass tube. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this clock! It came pre-assembled so there is nothing to do except plug it in and set it. 12 hr and 24 hr time along with multiple color options. My video is with a rainbow fade. LED lights are very bright so you can read the clock even in the daytime. (Pictures are during the day) Uses a USB-C cord that is pretty short. I recommend buying a longer cord to use for power. This is not a battery powered clock. TO CHANGE TO 12-HR TIME: use the 3rd button counting from the power cord (when looking at the back of the clock) - press and hold. I have had this running for 4 days and it seems to be keeping time spot on. ETA: updating my review at the 1 year mark. The clock still runs really well. I only have 2 very minor concerns that don't affect my rating. 1) the clock started going off time around the 6 month mark. It seems to run just a bit fast meaning I need to reset the time about every 3 months. 2) the power cord unplugs from the back of the clock very easily. It tends to come unplugged every time I shift the clock while cleaning. I've learned to hold the cord with one hand while moving with another. Despite those 2 annoyances I am still completely in love with this clock and very happy with my purchase. ... show more

Multiple colours and display modes are a plus, including Nixie-like orange-red, although I prefer the pure blue. The clock is beautiful once you figure out the awful Engrish software. Logging in is an adventure. Once logged in, you can eventually set the time and color scheme. Forget figuring out setting, or stopping, an alarm. Just ridiculous.

Love the item, but I touched a screw on the outside and it electrocuted me. Two of the boxes no longer work and it smells of shorted wires. Everything else works as described and it's a cool clock. I replaced the original and the replacement didn't work out of the box. Similarly, two of the boxes wouldn't light up. Frustrating experience.
