I like these chairs. They are sturdy and do their job well. They are tall enough for counter seating, and they can lower for table use if necessary. I think they are a fun statement industrial piece. The back is great because it makes sitting much more comfortable. I would highly recommend getting someone to help you put them together, but I managed to do it by myself, if that helps. A few minor complaints, though. I bought two chairs. The pre-drilled holes for the hardware in the wood made it impossible for me to line up the wood grain with the base, or even match the other stool. (Without whipping out my own drill.) The crookedness bothers me, but not enough to disassemble it to return it, but maybe I'll drill new holes the next time I move. I'm also bothered that one of the stools has knots in the wood. It's personal preference, sure, but I was really disappointed when I saw the knots. Unfortunately, some of the paint on the metal came scratched on both of my chairs. Pretty disappointing for being brand new. The body of the chairs are painted metal, which I love. The welding on the connections looked a little rushed to me. I'm no welder, but my brother is, so I've seen quite a few welded things in my life. The connections are all sturdy, but they have a lot of variance. It kind of looks like mistakes were left in place with the hope the paint would cover them up. Lastly, I'm not the biggest fan of the finish on the wood. The stain looks a little carelessly applied, and the wood is gouged and whitewashed for an exaggerated grain. I didn't quite understand that from the listing. All in all, good stools. They do their job and people like them. I'm pretty picky, so I'm glad I got something close to what I wanted, but if I could change just one thing, I'd make the wooden seat grain perpendicular to the back of the stool.

Well built, welded, and made from heavy gauge metal. We expected something a little more substantial, and a little bigger though. The bottom frame is a little small in diameter and height which makes it look top heavy and the seat could be another couple inches wider for a little more comfort and support. The back provides very little support and it feels like if you leaned back it would tip over due to the small base anyway. The cushion is better than bare wood but still really firm and as mentioned above SMALL!

The stools were easy to assemble and sturdy. They were rated to hold a person up to 350lbs. The issue was the seat diameter was too small for a larger person which made the stools uncomfortable to sit on. Plus the wood disk was not very comfortable either. These are good stools for people under 200lbs.

They work perfect for my rustic industrial style kitchen. I wasn't crazy for the wood color on the seats they came with, but was easy and inexpensive to swap them out with others I found and was able to stain myself to match the wood tones in my kitchen (I'm just picky).
