This lamp works well in my office. It arrived quickly and in good shape. Assembly was quick and easy. However, the threaded upright post is a little flimsy. Once assembled, handle it carefully when moving it around. Hint: be sure to carry it upright. The threaded joints are fragile and can be easily stripped if you lay it over to carry - I had to repair two joints but the lamp is working fine now. I originally picked up this exact same lamp for my office from a flea market and has lasted for seven years. The lamp still works but the covers had dried out and crumbled when I changed the lightbulb. This is by far the Best lamp ever so I bought another one.

As is usual with these types of lamps, separate sections need to be screwed together. Small bit of a struggle getting the threads to line up - otherwise easy to put together. Realized after I got it together, instructions recommended assembling top down and I put it together bottom up. Maybe it would have been that much easier. I bought this almost a year ago in July 2021 (when it was $39 and I see it has fluctuated up to $79 sometimes!) and I decided it's time to write a review because it's been going strong for this entire year and I've gotten SO many compliments on it from my coworkers. For me personally it's not the most "attractive" lamp, but it works perfectly in the corner of my office tucked away where the light can reflect off the wall and bounce back, giving everything a warm glow. I do have it paired with another floor lamp and a small lamp on my desk, but I'd say it still gives off fairly strong light on its own (I usually use the medium warmth setting but the coolest tone is the brightest). It will just depend on how much light you are expecting for your size office. I love that it has a remote because it's in a less accessible spot for me, so that was a big plus. The only issue I had putting it together was some segments that twist together rubbed and wouldn't sit flush, and since I was putting it together at work I didn't have access to any tools or metal lubricant at home. Pro-tip: hand sanitizer works really well as a makeshift lubricant in a pinch, haha. ... show more
