The only problem is that it needs to be pretty much pitch dark for them to come on, so if it's dusk, or slightly dark, they won't come on. Good value - using this in my back yard for my doggies to see at night. It was pretty easy to install and the instructions were decent. The only issue I had was with the nut - it needs to be put in flush with the hole and tightened with the knob and screw (will make sense with the installation!) Several issues, the most important is that the screws provided are very weak. If you try to screw them directly into wood they will snap. I pre drilled the holes, and still had two of them snap once they got to the point where they got tight. So my recommendation would be to get yourself some decent quality screws. The other issue is that in dusk till Dawn mode where the light is just always on at night, the light output is about 1/4 at best the output when it's in mode one and two. In mode one The light is off and then goes to high when it sees motion. In mode two the light is dim and then goes to high when it sees motion. In mode 3 it's just on in demo mode from dusk until dawn. That was the mode I planned on using but the light output is barely enough to show anything. So if you need that as your primary use I would look for a different light. If you're just looking for something to shine when it sees motion the light output is actually quite good. I took one of the lights apart and found that the battery cell being used is an 18650. It is hardwired. But the good thing is if the cell ever failed you could probably find a 18650 and make it work. ... show more
