I bought the Hoverair promax cycling combo and I would just like to say, love love love this drone. Very simple to use and even the manual mode on the phone was easy enough to operate! Just ordered the joysticks and extra beacon for longer range and better control. The cycling bag it comes with is perfect just for carrying everything and good quality. Helped us a lot to focus on our vacation instead of working a drone. It’s just easy to get great shots. Batteries charge quickly and last quite a bit. I really wanted to love this drone because the build quality and footage are excellent. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely frustrating. The main issue was battery life. On fully charged batteries, with no wind, I was only getting about 5 minutes of flight time, which is nowhere near practical or enjoyable. Because of that, I decided to return the drone. I also purchased the joystick directly from Hover, and since I was unhappy with the drone’s performance, I returned that as well. During the return process, customer service initially claimed they did not receive one of the joysticks, which was completely untrue. After more back-and-forth, they later admitted the joystick was “found” — yet still deducted $20 from my refund. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the drone itself is beautifully made. Unfortunately, the customer service and return experience were handled poorly, and the battery performance alone makes it hard to recommend.

Update: The company sent me a new drone hassle free. I feel much better about them and there was a woman that walked me through all the steps! Thank you! As much as I LOVE this drone I will sadly have to leave this feedback. We used in for weeks and loved every second of it. The app is easy to use and the drone follows you and has so many cool features. I bought this drone because of the collision detection and I just retuned from Costa Rica and Mexico and was hoping for some stunning aerial shots. What ended up happening was we started our very first drone shot series and turned on the drone and set it to follow mode. It followed my wife down a dock that had small wooden poles sticking up from the sides, as dachshund peers usually do so that they can float or fall as the tide comes in or out. She was lightly jogging down this pier and with the drone filling and facing forward directly, slammed into one of these poles and dropped into the ocean. I immediately took it out and used distilled water to read, submerge it, and then took it out and had a fan on it for two days. It gave me hope because it would tell me the battery percentage of whatever battery I put in and then start to load the software, but it never completely finished loading and it didn’t work for the entire trip. So I thought that this company was reputable and would answer my questions or give me some kind of feedback regarding the warranty or some way to ship it to them to get fixed or whatever the case might be. I sent multiple emails from Mexico and Costa Rica with no reply. I got back to the states and called them. It goes straight to voicemail and you are asked to leave your information which I have and again they will not reach out to me. To add insult to injury, I was bragging up this drone so much that two of my friends even bought them and after hearing what happened, one of them returned his to Amazon within the return window. It’s too bad because I assumed it was a great product, but the way that this company has been treating me just trying to get some answers from them has been really unprofessional and unethical. I feel. So buyer beware!

This product is defective and the mount is very cumbersome. I bought it because of the ads... but when I used it, I realized that the sensors don't work as they claim. Mine crashed head-on into a billboard. It didn't get wet, it wasn't dark, and I wasn't going at full speed. It just didn't see a 6-meter metal fence that crosses an entire street in a closed bike circuit. And it crashed head-on. It was damaged, and now they won't give me a solution, or they tell me they can, but the reality is they don't. I lost my money and my patience with this purchase. I don't recommend it to anyone

I have bought every single accessory for the HoverAir X1 Pro Max, opting for the cycling package rather than the skiing one. Given that I live in an equatorial climate, I didn’t need the thermal battery, but humidity is something I do have to deal with. Let me just say—I am very, very pleased with this product. Why I Chose the HoverAir X1 Pro Max For the longest time, I debated buying a drone but never pulled the trigger. There were just too many considerations: ✔ Weight & Regulations: I wanted something below 249g to avoid registration and licensing hassles. ✔ Photo & Video Quality: I wasn’t sold on the original HoverAir X1, but the Pro Max version finally delivered on image and video quality. ✔ Functionality Over Complexity: I don’t need full-blown drone capabilities—I prioritize selfie photos, videos, and a reliable follow mode while cycling. The X1 Pro Max ticks every box. Real-World Experience The Follow Me mode—both front and rear tracking—works brilliantly while riding my bike. It’s lightweight, quick to deploy, and doesn’t require the learning curve of traditional drones. Customer Service: A+ The real icing on the cake? I lost my beacon charging cable and was prepared to buy a replacement. Instead, HoverAir’s customer support responded within a day, asked for a few details, and promptly sent me a replacement—free of charge. That’s next-level service! A Couple of Wishes No product is perfect, and if I had two requests, they’d be: 1. Better Color Profile: The current footage is a bit too saturated—a firmware tweak could easily improve this. 2. A Proper Remote & Goggles: It would be amazing if HoverAir introduced a physical remote and perhaps an FPV goggle setup in the future. One can dream! Final Verdict If you’re looking for a compact, lightweight, hassle-free drone that delivers excellent selfie and follow-me capabilities, the HoverAir X1 Pro Max is a game-changer. I am beyond satisfied with my purchase and can’t wait to see how HoverAir improves future versions.
