I've been looking for quite some time for a just-right lamp and this did the trick. It's nice and tall without being too large for my end table and the style has just a touch of mid-century modern but could work with almost any decor. Looks more expensive than it is. One star off because the shade just rests on a 'ledge' under the lightbulb and doesn't fully secure so it can feel wobbly. Not a big deal though as you don't often fiddle with it. I prefer to purchase lamps at the store or show room. I was not able to find anything at the store during pandemic as many of them had been closed or had limited store hours. Checked a few sources online and stopped at this one. It might be a little bigger than I would prefer. But will do. I have 2 of the floor lamps ordered from Home Depot. I love them. They are stylish but not too modern that they donโ€™t fit with the decor of my home. Ordered the table Lamp from Amazon ( cheaper than Home Depot) and I love the table lamp as much as the floor lamps however, the lampshade was broken when it arrived. Adesso sent me a new one free and it is not broken but it has a big noticeable stain on it. We can put it in the back but the seam of the lampshade is now showing. Itโ€™s not worth the hastle of getting a new one but Iโ€™m disappointed that out of two times, itโ€™s still not right. ... show more

Some indicated problems with the light shorting out, but I have found none. The only complaint would be pulling the cord through the base was a bit tiresome and I could see if you were too rough you could cause some issues there. Otherwise it was well packaged and looks fantastic with my mid century modern look as a table lamp for far less the similar ones on other websites. It is sturdy enough to not tip over if the cat walks by. Lamp was fine overall for the 10 weeks or so we owned it. Then 1 morning I pulled the chain to turn it on and chain fell out. The socket seems special made and doubt could find at hd or Loweโ€™s. Sent if back. Amazon giving refund after return date expired. Thanks Amazon!

This lamp looks great on the surface, but there are problems. The shade does not sit securely on the base, which only offers a round shelf on which the lamp shade rests. The shade can't be screwed in place, so that it rocks up and down on the shelf if you touch or move the lamp. Even worse, all light bulbs will stick out above the top of the lamp shade because the socket sits so high, which is a bad look, especially if it's sitting on a lower table. I was initially hesitant to order this after reading reviews that said it was challenging to put together. It's not difficult at all -- just follow the directions and pay close attention to pulling the cord from the bottom out so you don't have more slack than necessary when you're twisting each pole in. The lamp works perfectly and looks beautiful. I ordered the floor lamp and the table lamp. The drum shade on the table lamp is a little larger than expected, but it looks good. My only complaint about the floor lamp is that the shade isn't better lined. When the bulb is lit, you can see it clearly through the shade. ... show more
