Features

  • Designed to fit Canik Elite TP9 SC, Canik METE SFX, Canik METE SFT, FNH Reflex MRD, Sig P365X/P365XL/P365XL SPECTRE COMP, Ruger Max-9, Glock 43X MOS/48 MOS(not compatible with regular glock 43x/48 that are not MOS), Springfield Hellcat OSP, S&W Shield 2.0 Optics Ready, S&W MP9 EZ, S&W M&P shield plus performance center, Walther PPS M2 Optics Ready, Girsan MC1911SC Ultimate or any pistol/mounting plate/slide with RMS/RMSC screw pattern/footprint.
  • Hard coated aircraft aluminum and multi-coated glass. Not plastic body with polymer lens.
  • ADE SPIKE red dot sight is always powered on with automatic brightness. Operates with a single CR2032 3v battery. With our advanced technology the sight only draws approximate 700 microampere powers to give a very long battery life. The brightness will turn high and low accordingly to the environment brightness.
  • 4MOA, Weight approximately 17.6 grames(0.62oz), (Length)1.6" x (Width).92" x (Height).93"
  • Comes with screws for several Optics Ready handguns. Does not comes with any mounting plate such as picatinny mount or plate made for a specific handgun.
  • Ade SPIKE created an iron sight curve at the end of the body, and also added two white dots on the curve. For the rear of part of the red dot to become a back up iron sight. With the ultra short design, the red dot provides a distance/gap on some full size optics ready pistols, to give enough distance to be a Co-Witness back up sight, in addition to the LED dot and pistol equipped iron sight
  • For non-optics ready pistols that need to use an optic plate/adapter to replace the pistol manufacturer equipped rear sight, ADE Spike's rear white dot will act as a pistol factory original rear sight for Co-Witness.
  • Comes with 3 pairs of screws for Sig P365XL/X, Springfield Hellcat OSP and Canik TP9 Elite SC ONLY. The provided screws might NOT work with EVERY compatible pistol listed. ADE makes the red dot to accept the industrial standard footprint. The pistol manufacturer makes the optic cut/slide for the same footprint, but they have their own opinions to decide which type screws that the screw holes take.
  • ADE Does not know the screw spec every pistol manufacture used for their screw hole. Please ask the pistol manufacture what screw specs they used on the hole and ask them to provide the screw. If you cant get the screw to work properly, we recommend going to a local hardware store such as ACE Hardware to get the right size.

Outstanding micro red dot. Easy to install. I own 2. Used plastic plate Canik supplied on first one. Mounted directly to pistol on latest one. Both installed with no problems at all. Zeroing was a breeze after using a bore sight. The accuracy is uncanny and I’m not new to handguns. Metal Housing and glass lens. Always on, but dims in low light and goes to off with supplied hoods. Four MOA is righteous for 68 year old eyes. Has held zero so far. Recommended buy. You can pay much more. Question is do you get that much more in quality and value? ... show more

  • Very solid reliable and durable
I’ve had the ade spike for over a year now. At first I was very skeptical, it being a company that isn’t as well known and the reviews I did find were people bashing the optic that never even owned one! After a year I am completely satisfied! This optic still holds zero to this day and is on my 43x and accurate as a button once you get it zeroed in. I honestly would put this in the category of some of the more expensive red dots that’s I’be bought. The only draw back is that it doesn’t have shake awake and a top loading battery but other than that it’s great and for a optic that technically stays on all the time I haven’t had to change the battery yet which is awesome and most importantly this thing is very tough I shoot a lot at least 1-2 times a week anywhere from 200-500 rounds and I rack it using the red dot. No malfunctions what so ever this optic has been 100% reliable. The picture above is how it looks today after all the shit I put it through lol I do put the cover on it at night to save battery and carry it all day without it battery it came with is still running ... show more

  • Affordable and "decent" sight but with some limitations
I bought this to put on a Canik TP9 SC Elite (subcompact), which is basically a range toy for me — not a carry gun. I didn’t want, or need, a sight that cost half (or more) the price of the gun. I’m an old guy with old eyes, so red dots (or lasers) are a big help to me. My review focuses on that installation, but some of the things I noted may apply to other applications. The sight seems well made. It comes with 4 each of several different sizes of mounting screws (and another allen wrench… I have a zillion already), one size (see later) being the one needed for the TP9. There’s also a rubber cover for the sight, and some sort of “dial-like thing” that I have no idea how to use (and it’s not needed). The paperwork that came with the sight was sort of crudely printed — a give-away, perhaps, that this sight isn’t on par with far more expensive ones, even sights made in and imported from you-know-where. The sight mounted easily, it was very easy to zero, and although I only put about 100 rounds of ammo through the gun after sighting-in the zero held. The sight co-witnessed with the factory iron sights on with no issues. There are 2 dots on the rear of the sight that you can supposedly use, with the gun’s front sight. if the battery dies and your iron sights are cowitnessed. However the ADE sight mounts so close to the rear sight on the TP9 that I couldn’t see the dots… but I could see, and line up, the gun’s front and rear sights. WHAT I KNEW BEFORE I MADE THE PURCHASE, BUT AM NOT THRILLED ABOUT: BATTERY and BATTERY CHANGE: You have to remove the sight (and probably have to re-zero) to change the battery. I posted a question about battery life on Amazon. One gentleman responded that the battery that came with the sight (a no-name battery that also came from you-know-where) died after about 2 months, but so far his replacement has been working for about a year. I suggest that before you install the sight on your gun go ahead and immediately toss the supplied battery and install a “good” brand name one; they’re not very expensive, and that’ll delay need to remove the sight and re-zero after you got the sight on. I suspect part of the battery issue (if that’s the right word) comes from the fact that THE DOT IS ALWAYS ON; not shake-and-wake, which I would have preferred. NO MANUAL BRIGHTNESS CONTROL: The intensity of the red dot changes in response to ambient light. It certainly does if you go from a totally dark room to bright sun, but in between the intensity changes with ambient lighting aren’t very obvious. When I was shooting at my indoor range, with a couple of not very intense bulbs overhead, the dot seemed way too bright (and big) to suit me. In fact it was so bright that the dot reflected off the lens, giving what I’ll call a “false dot” that’s not the one you want to aim with. That bright dot also appeared way too big; in really bright light the dot not only gets dimmer, but smaller. If you’re shooting at, say, 25 yards, I think the dot is too big. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE SIGHT ISN’T COVERED AT ALL: I initially installed the sight directly on the optic cut of the TP9, but now the holes where the screws for the optic cover plate originally were were open, which lets lube and powder residue (admittedly not a lot, but I only shot 100 rounds) get out of the slide and on to/into the sight. I didn’t think that was very good, so I reluctantly put on the spacer plate that came with the gun then installed the sight on that. That created, at least for me, another issue. The mounting screws supplied with the sight (for the TP9 SC that was M4-0.7 x 10) were long enough to secure the sight directly to the slide. With the gun’s spacer plate those screws seemed too short, and I worried that an accidental slip of the hand when racking the slide might break one or both mounting screws off and knock the sight off. (That happened to me with another sight and gun.) But the sight didn’t come with longer screws. Local Lowes and Home Depot didn’t have longer ones, but an ACE Hardware surprisingly did. For the TP9 SC I recommend M4-0.7 x 14 or, better, M4-0.7 x 16. In SUMMARY: For a “range toy” this ADE sight is “OK,” and so far a good deal for the price. I’m comfortable with the purchase. Because of uncertainty about how long a batter will last I’m hesitant recommending using it on a gun being carried for self-defense unless you’re pretty fastidious about changing the battery and have cowitnessed iron sights, but that’s up to you of course. ... show more

  • THIS SITE DOES NOT TURN OFF!!!
I was looking for a button or way to turn off the dot after I finally mounted it. Then I read the instructions and IT NEVER TURNS OFF! How is this even a thing? I have sights that batteries die just from sitting OFF, and this thing is ALWAYS ON!!! That means you pretty much have to ruin zero to take it off after shooting, or maybe get a few sessions and ruin zero to change a dead battery. Save yourself the hassle and spend another 50 bucks for something that makes sense. ... show more

  • Quit working after 3 shots
Let me start by saying, I know a little bit about red dot sights. I own everything from Burris to Vortex to Holosun because I have lousy eye sight. I bought this for my Canik Mete, as it requires a sight with a Shield foot print. ( I was very disappointed in this as I own several Canik models and the others came with multiple mounting plates for various brands of red dot sights). Not wanting to pay the higher price for a Shield brand sight, I thought I'd try the Advanced Optics sight. Mounting was easy, so I took it out to the range. After 3 shots, no more red dot! I "fiddle-fooled" with it, for a bit, and got the dot back on. Took another shot, and again, no dot! I took it home and removed the sight and fiddled with the battery and the dot will come back on but not stay on. I'll have to look at the warranty to see if I have any options. Just beware that you get what you pay for! ... show more
