  • Beware when removing the heatsink. Otherwise, a great product!
Color: [Swordfish] 1800/1200MB/s Capacity: 1TB
This is a very affordable and decently speedy NVME M.2 SSD to populate those slots on any motherboard. Only thing I should caution on is that the heatsink comes pre-installed out of the box. First time around, I tried to gently peel off the heatsink, and I ended up snapping one of the 3D NAND chips cleanly off its lead. If you must need the heatsink removed for placement under a motherboard M.2 heatsink, then I'd use a razor blade or something, or let the SSD warm up during normal usage before attempting to remove. I was able to get a replacement unit after returning the now-defective product. Speeds are very impressive for the price, and that is where all of my games primarily run off of. ... show more

  • NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY MOTHERBOARD BE WARE
Color: [Swordfish] 1800/1200MB/s Capacity: 2TB
Go on your motherboard support page and check for compatibility. This SSD is not listed anywhere as compatible with ANY motherboard or operating system. I have had nothing but constant bugs and crashes for almost a year with ADATA not claiming any responsibility. ZERO issues with an SSD listed as compatible by my motherboard manufacturere. Why is it not compatible? The integrated storage controller is utter garbage. To get the price down they made a cacheless nvme SSD which allowed them to cheap out on the storage controller which is straight up weak and unable to handle extensive work loads. When updating windows, even minor updates, would force the SSD into a 100% use state and the controller just turns off and does not turn back on, making the ssd disappear from the BIOS. The moment you reset CMOS and completely power off the system, the SSD comes back to life as if nothing happened. These issues can happen several times in a day or once a year. For me it happens at random when I am simply trying to get work done. DO NOT BUY THIS SSD, Buy the XPG SX8200 or any other SSD. Overpaying is better in this case. This is simply cheap garbage. ... show more

  • Trash SSD
Color: [Swordfish] 1800/1200MB/s Capacity: 2TB
This drive has been installed in my system for less than 2 months. It’s been used extremely lightly. As in, download a few games and play them. It died on me already. Garbage tier SSD. Luckily I had my Windows installed on another Samsung SSD. I’ve learned my lesson. I would understand a drive failure years into ownership, but less than two months??? I built my system October 21st, to give some perspective. I will never purchase another ADATA product in my life and will recommend my friends and family stay far away from this junk brand. ... show more

  • Horrendously slow random read speeds
Color: [Falcon] 3100/1500MB/s Capacity: 2TB
When accesing large libraries it slows to a crawl. My applications regularly lock-up when searching large databases of files. SInce I bought this before my laptop actually came, unfortunately it is no longer eligible for return. Really wish I could. I'll be replacing it as soon as I can with something else. My Sabrent Rocket Q will play an mp3 as fast as less than a second. This one takes 3-5 seconds on every file. This will go back in the box and collect dust as a "lesson learned" to never buy Adata drives (at least with no caching). Buy something else. ... show more

  • It works, mostly.
Color: [Swordfish] 1800/1200MB/s Capacity: 500GB
The posted speeds (1800/1200) are accurate. I ran a crystaldisk bench and the temps stayed controlled thanks to the heat spreader.

  • Pay a few more bucks to save yourself time
Color: [Swordfish] 1800/1200MB/s Capacity: 2TB
Ever since I installed this NVMe, my PC has been unstable. Causing it to restart and freeze randomly. Of course I looked into it to make sure it wasn't other issues. It's not. And whenver I play a game on this NVMe, I noticed it'd cause hiccups when starting and some bad FPS drop. I have a 5600x and 3060ti, so don't even say it's my PC can't handle it. I'll use this one game for example. I uninstalled the same game and reinstalled it on my main WD NVMe drive which I've been using since 2018. No hiccups when starting the game. And in fact, it loaded my game even faster! No random FPS drops while in-game, just butter smooth like it should. I feel bad for blaming the game for being unoptimized. So thankful that Amazon was able to let me return this. I'll shell out a few more bucks to get it from a reputable company like WD or Samsung, not some Chinese knock-off. And I've tried to contact the manufacturer but no luck. Still waiting for my email verification. Listen to me and just go with more reputable brand even tho it'd be more. It's worth it, trust me. ... show more
