This worked very well for my PS5. The drive was easy to install and provided much more memory to install games on. Games still load fast just like the do on the internal PS5 drive. The PS5 also recognizes the drive and is able to set up.

This SSD was the perfect addition to my ps5! I read an online tutorial on how to install it and I had it in within 10 minutes. It doesn't hit all the way up to the advertised 7,400 MB/s transfer speed, but that's to be expected. It will only hit that in perfect conditions. It did hit around 6200 MB/s though on a random write and read test that Sony does automatically. Which is perfect because that is better than the minimum required by the ps5. This is one of the best value SSD's I can find on amazon right now since it is so cheap! It was easy to install as well as high quality. I have had it for a few months now and it works perfectly! Even if it did fail it has a 5 year warranty! So even if it did fail I can just get another for free! I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to get the best value SSD and just needs a little more storage. 10/10 ... show more

I have used rotating media hard drives, hybrid drives with very large caches, and solid state drives. The SSD's are the fastest, but are still limited by their SATA technology to a maximum of 600MB/S transfers. This NVMe SSD storage device can transfer data to a compatible motherboard, up to 3,500MB/S. Generally smaller, lighter, and more power efficient as well. I have had good luck with ADATA SSDs in the past, and so far this installed with no issues. It is working as expected. I have no idea if NVMe SSDs can be used for long term storage (more than 2 years, without periodically re-writing the data) but I would have serious doubts about it. Like how it works so far. Just remember "M.2" is a physical specification. A "M.2 SSD" can be either NVMe, or SATA, and you need to buy the correct type, that is supported by your computer. Also a "GEN4" SSD only delivers GEN4 speeds, when it is connected to a GEN4 capable interface. If you plug it into a GEN3 motherboard, you will only get GEN3 speeds. ... show more

Gets what I need done, store my PS4 and 5 games in one SSD. I installed it with a aftermarket heat sink kit and have had no issues with it. In my opinion it’s quick for my application, more of a casual gamer myself.

This is a great looking device, too bad it will be hidden away forever locked inside of a tiny compartment inside my PS5. There was plenty of extra room inside the compartment, Installation was easy and took less than 10min to be back up and running again. The heatsink is optional, it comes detached and ready to add stick on. It is held by double sided tape, not sure how it will hold up under temperature. But it looks nice. I definitely recommend anyone get this for your ps5 or pc for more storage for your game's. I’ve used adata nvme before never had a problem with them at all, no issues with installation at all really simple to do anyone can do it. I’ve noticed while going through many ssd nvme on Amazon their been a increase lately through out the couple months so they not be cheap to get anymore so get it while it’s at this price it’s killer deal literally. ... show more
