I am not sure why so many negative reviews. The chair is BEAUTIFUL, if a bit darker than I thought it would be. If you think you are getting something tan, which the picture seemed to show, you are not, as it is definitely a brown. But gorgeous. And it smells so good! Adjusted to tilt mechanism to what I wanted with no problems, no noise, etc. Love it. It was a present for my husband, but now I may have to splurge and get myself one! ... show more

I purchased 3 chairs for my office. None matched, 3 different heights and leather textures was not the symmetrical look desired. Two were close enough to utilize, the third had to be taken home as the vendor would not respond to my return request except for clarification on why I wanted to return the item. I was willing to pay a bit more for quality and the peace of mind know I could return the items if not satisfied. Only after my purchase did I realize shipping and a restocking fee are my responsibility and could not be returned if already assembled. Use caution. Handsome addition to our custom built office. Seat and back are very comfortable. My husband didn't like the hard wood armrest so I had to add a padded cover to his chair. Make sure you really like them before purchasing, we were going to return due to the arm rest issue and the seller wanted to charge us $235 to return; a restocking fee of $169.69 plus shipping of $66.     • This chair makes a very loud "bang" noise when you shift your weight
This is a nice looking, comfortable chair which is rendered nearly useless by the noise it makes. When you lean back or shift side to side, an ear-splitting "bang" rings out from under the seat. No exaggeration, it sounds like a hammer hitting a table. My wife can hear it from anywhere in our house. I have tried to call the seller (Cymax) to see if there was a fix, but their customer service line tells you they are closed, even during their stated business hours (I called at 2:00 Pacific). They just won't answer. I suspect they don't have any CS staff. I have submitted an email through Amazon, so we'll see if that works. Next step is requesting a return. This would be a four-star chair if not for the noise and the (so far) miserable customer service. ... show more

Unfortunately, when I purchased my chair in October 2018, there weren't any negative reviews. But, as stated in multiple reviews since my purchase, the chair is junk. I experienced the same issues...popping noise when sitting in it, leaning forward and now, it basically just rotates which ever way you lean. If you put your arm on the right arm rest, chair tilts heavily to the right....left is the same thing. Have to keep my feet against something to keep from sliding forward off of the chair. So, expensive chair is a hazard. I contacted seller, thru Amazon, for a replacement and was told...sorry too late. Call manufacturer. JUNK. DO NOT BUY! ... show more

    • Chairs will not hold up to any use
While the leather is good and style is good, these chairs will not hold up to everyday use. Out of the four chairs I purchased October of 2019, one chair has lost the charge in the lift cylinder and another has become loose where the seat meets the post and wobbles. At $350.00 each you would expect a better product. Acme tells me they can't even sell me replacement parts because I purchased the chairs over one year ago. ... show more
