We actually ordered 2 sets of 2 chairs. The wood is solid, and heavy, just as we hoped it would be. The chairs are beautiful. I would have rated them a 5, except that the plastic is very, very difficult to remove from the seats, without damaging the fabric, and there were lots of strings protruding from the upholstery, that had to be cut off with a razor blade. The piping is not even, and does not really meet the cushion as it should, and there were a few places on the wood, that we had to sand down. That being said - for the money spent - they are gorgeous chairs, and made a dramatic difference to our store decor! ... show more

I ordered 4 chairs total (2 sets of 2). The second set was in horrible shape when it got here. The company uses practically no packaging on them. HOWEVER, Amazon really stepped up to the plate. They overnighted a replacement to me that night. One of the chairs from the damaged box that I sent back was horribly built. One of the legs was a good half inch shorter than the other side, so it would always wobble had I kept it, and it had chunks of wood missing. I would repurchase FROM AMAZON again in a heartbeat as they stand by the product and make the customer #1. After I finally got 4 chairs that are undamaged and didn't fail quality control, I am very happy. They are sturdy and beautiful. I get compliments from everyone that sees them. They seem to add a nice elegant touch to our house. ... show more

This is an order for replacement chairs because the first 2 chairs got really damaged during shipping. This company was so great handling this and the furniture is solidly made and easy to assembly.
