I’ve had my fair share of laptops, for gaming and standard work, I can confidently say this is an outstanding laptop. It runs beautifully, with Windows 11 being the only meh thing about it (hopefully it gets better with more updates) The only limiting factor is the 8GB of RAM. At idle it uses 4.5GB, meaning more than half of your RAM is gone. I’d recommend getting another 8GB stick, as I did, and it made a HUGE difference! Easy fix, easy to install, just sucks it’s not a standard. I’m a huge fan of the included cable to add an SSD and tray for it inside the laptop. There are other companies that force you to buy the cable and it takes forever to arrive, but the fact that they included it with the laptop is amazing 4/5, only because of the RAM. Is this laptop top of the line, impress all your friends? No, but it runs games smoothly (for the most part, Ive found a hiccup once or twice.) I use this laptop for both music production and gaming. It's handles everything ive thrown at it. Now comw of the con, sometimes a program will crash, nothing new for computers but as a new piece of equipment i would hope it doesnt do that. The keyboard backlight only stays up for about 15 seconds and goes dark till used again. This may bother or annoy some people like it does me, I have yet to find a solution for it. I've had one full blown crash but I do not remeber what I was doing but I remeber saying "that's fair" so it could have been my fault. Overall I cant complain. ... show more

    • Good enough for entry/mid level gamer on a budget
I bought this laptop as a gaming laptop, of course, but also as a day to day worker. I upgraded the ram and added another m.2 drive immediately, so I'm not sure how the computer was "out of the box". The nitrosense is cool on this because I can hit the button and accel/decel the fans quickly. I'm not sure how I feel about the killer wifi, I've noticed it's stopped some of my background processes when I'm streaming video, even after I changed the profile. All in all, I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a laptop far superior to most production laptops that can support gaming. ... show more

    • A bit Big for Travel, But a Good Laptop
I travel a fair amount and don't like the small screens on the typical laptops and notebooks many use for their IT needs when traveling. This laptop is BIG and heavy. I joke with people that it is part of my daily workout. It does exactly what I purchased it for. The screen is large and easy to read, and the CPU speed is good. I've had this laptop for over a year now. Really happy with the purchase. I am able to run everything I want to run and most new games run great. You will want to use the nitrosense and have the fans on high for newer or more demanding games. That may bother some as it can be quite loud, but otherwise the CPU can get pretty hot. I have had no issues, not overloaded with bloatware or anything. If you want a decent portable gaming rig I'd recommend this laptop. I also use a laptop cooling pad, I bought a $20 one and it helps keep the laptop about 10 degrees cooler. ... show more

When I first received the laptop the box was damaged and I thought the computer was damaged since I plugged it up and didn’t see any lights and it was not turning on. I called Acer support they told me you have to click the charger in till you hear 2 clicks and not 1 which I felt like should have been stated in the instructions somewhere or something. Fast forward 3 days later I turned my computer on and it was just at a black screen nothing was happening. Turned it off then back on black screen still present. Called Acer support told them that after the computer tried to up date and next day I turned it on that was present they walked me through so steps to reset the software and 5 minutes later it was running again. To say the least it’s fast it plays Fortnite really well with no issues and few other games I play. The downside to this PC is all the bloatware I tried deleting the bloatware some won’t let me delete and the others I click delete and it freezes up on the task. The keyboard only is red but you can adjust the brightness and or turn it off. Overall I’d have to give the computer 3 stars if you’re looking for a decent entry gaming laptop this is a good competitor. ... show more

I'm mainly into adventure gaming and regular computer use. I bought this to use my TV screen as a monitor with excellent results with the included HDMI port. On my TV the gaming video quality is beautiful. I expect that Hotel TV's will give me equally good results. I have wireless accessories and I'm quite pleased. I also upgraded to 16Gb RAM and installed a 1TB Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD for backup and storage. I'm confident that I can play any game that I want to with no reduction in quality and with high FPS, including with hand-to-hand combat scenes. With the i7 core, RTX3050, and sturdy build quality it was a steal at $739. No complaints. ... show more

I bought this laptop for my son for his birthday. It must be awesome because he doesn’t come out of his bedroom now and he leaves the computer in my office alone. It’s powerful enough to run his VR and all the games he’s playing.
