Why I really like the Leeveel Hernia Belt. I purchased this hernia belt for use in a double inguinal hernia. It works really well, it is effective, comfortable, adjustable and very well made. First of all; I wanted a belt that would work holding the hernia in. That's what you buy it for, right? This belt works well, holding the hernia in close to my belly. This product is made of a comfortable fabric and elastic. The attention to detail is nice, and well thought out. For example; the straps that go around the back of your legs are made with stretchy elastic that attaches with velcro front and back. The straps are completely removable and adjustable so you can make the belt fit you perfectly. Each back strap is 1 inch wide with a 2 1/2 inch long strip of the "hook" part of the velcro, at each end; sewn on four sides. They will attach to the front, and back, of the belt just about anywhere. The waist strap is 2 inches wide and fully adjustable, so you can make the strap longer, or shorter, depending on your waist size. I ordered a large size (and I have a 34 inch waist) and it fit just a bit loose in the waist, so I tightened it just a bit and now it fits perfectly. The hernia "pads" are held in with a specially sewn net fabric pocket. I can't feel the net fabric when I am wearing the belt, so it's really great. The pads are definitely removable so you can use the right side or left side only, or both at once. The pads are made of some kind of dense foam that reminds me what they used to put in football shoulder pads long ago when I was a kid. It's sturdy without being hard, gives me the "push back" I need to hold the hernias in and is made in a gently rounded shape. You can see this pretty well in the pictures of the product. I have had a hernia for almost two months and it has been gradually getting larger as well as beginning to become painful. Since I started wearing this belt I haven't experienced that pain. Something like a violent sneeze or unexpected cough would be pretty bad but this belt keeps everything in place so I don't have to fear or panic when I feel a sneezing fit coming on. I can tell it's there when I wear it but it's only a slight discomfort and is not really noticable after about a week of normal use. I'm just trying to tough it out until the first of the year and then maybe I can have myself fixed and I believe this is going to help me do that no problem. Velcro seems fine, it might eventually stop holding but at this price I can afford to replace if that happens before I have surgery. I wish I had ordered this as soon as it happened and maybe the hernia wouldn't have grown.

I've had a hernia in this area that I just lived with and sometimes a belt would help keep it in place. But this product works very well. I've used it daily for 30 days plus and it is working great. It is comfortable. If you use the straps you will need some form fitting briefs to keep it comfortable. The straps will get worn out but so far the velcro is still strong. Excellent product.
