I can't imagine hanging a porch swing any other way! Months ago, our porch swing came crashing down (with my wife and I on it) when one of the hooks pulled out of the joist. I avoided hanging it back up because I wasn't certain of a sturdier way. Well, I am glad I decided to try these swing hangers! Simple installation, and the stencils worked great! The swing moves so smoothly, and you don't have the old squeak and jerk like we had with the previous hook. Every time I sit on the swing, I look up at the hangers and regret not getting them sooner. Plus, I am so happy to see my wife using the swing again. It is her most favorite place in (out of) the house!

I used these for my porch swing, and installed them “sideways”, as I didn't need any extreme swinging. The brackets are sturdy, with solid ball bearings and strong lag screws. Before my porch ceiling was installed, I had the carpenter place wood blocking between the studs, and that allowed me to center the swing perfectly with respect to the window. I used a 1/4” drillbit and the lag screws went in nice and tight.

These were needed in a pinch as an old swing set was pulled down. Grabbed these off Amazon and was able to remount the swings to a new board in the back yard and tested them out with some aggressive swinging. They are holding out perfect! Again, great way to hang swings indoor or outdoors!
