Top guide tip chipped and started striping fishing line after 3rd time using it . While fishing reel popped off due to faulty tensioning screw . This was the second rod I received after first arrived damaged.

I haven't tried the rods out yet, but I bought three of them, two for spin cast reels, and one for a bait cast reel. They seem well made, and were priced about right, I would have given 5 stars if they had been near the same price as the two Ugly Stick spinning rods that I bought that were very impressive and about $6 lower in price each. I will update my review after I try them out soon.

I have had this rod a year now. I use it in Saltwater fishing the bays of NW Fl. I have caught a lot of slot reds with this pole matched up with a black max gen 3. Since I was new to casting reels and rods, I didn't want to spend a lot. This pole with the black max cost me $85 total! I have dropped it in Saltwater while wade fishing, its been banged around on my Kayak and it has held up to scratching or rust. I highly recommend this rod for the price!

I've bought this product before but had ordered it this past time to be delivered to a family members house down in florida. Let's just say the way it was packaged was in a way oversized box to match the sizes rod and was a box size for a rolled up rug. It should if been packaged in a cardboard rod tube for added durability. The box came looking like it had been thrown around and bent in a way it shouldn't have. It was awful. Then trying to explain reason to get my refund was worse. Don't get me wrong when an item is requested to be mailed back but box is to damaged to put a rod that was broken in 3 different pieces back into a box that was shredded to pieces was not how I'd send package back. So if you buy from this vendor be hesitant. I'm not saying not to order from them I'm sure they mean well but just be warned that how rods are packaged could be way better. No matter the price of the rod it should be handled, packaged with care in a box that is heavy duty to have package be delivered in one piece every time. I usually always get stuff in store but didn't have time to go in person to buy this rod in person. But after the order arrived I needed to go to a local bait shop to get a new rod and spend more to get a replacement since I wasn't going to waste more money to buy a new box and everything just to have my money not refunded back onto my card till after my trip down to Florida. So it's just a shame. This is an honest review. Just hope it's a learning experience for everyone. Rod is usually super solid and really well built. And really good quality. If you use the right gear and line/lure rating the rod will not malfunction or brake. Most of time when it does its a user error.

This is my second purchase through Amazon for an Abu Garcia vengeance rod, love the first one so I bought another one for a new bait caster reels that I have coming, I must say you can’t go wrong with this rod and it showed up in perfect condition and well packaged, this is the best ride you can buy for the money, just got a 9 lbs. 8 oz. bass on my original rod last week couldn’t be more happy with the action and the way it performs

Rod is light and cast well. Have only had it a few months and used it a couple of times so I cannot comment on durability. I caught a few nice rockfish that the rod handled well. Appears to be well made.
