We recently renovated our backyard with green turf, rocks/stones, pavers and concrete. No more weeds! With all the work done, the cost went over budget and we couldn’t splurge on constructing a wooden pergola. After some research, I decided to get this. I was initially worried about the packaging and delivery after reading some reviews but Amazon was great. The package came in a big truck with 2 person. I got them to carry it into the garage. Installation took me about half a day. I had a friend come by to help. And I was lucky to have two of those platform ladders. It made installation much easier without needing to keep climbing up and down a ladder. I intend to wrap the metal post with wood planks and also build a privacy screen with horizontal planks on one side. My fence is a tad low and I want more privacy from my neighbors. For the roof, I intend to get the clear PVC roof panels and have those bolted down to the top. That way, I can still enjoy the sun but also have a year round protection for my outdoor furniture. This is a great pergola to add additional personal customization to it.

I was excited about the pergola, but when I went to put it together, a couple of the poles had minor dents in it from shipping. I contacted customer service and they were very responsive and we worked together to come up with a solution. The pergola is exactly what I thought it would be. Good quality and looks great. Even with the minor damage I was able to erect it fine.

We are so unhappy about this. We were going to use it for a party of six for a graduation and then use it all the time at our home. As you can see in the picture, one of the brackets was bent and unattached near the weld. We had broken washers and not enough screws. It certainly is not worth the $400 price tag that we paid! We would like a call tag and need to send it back ASAP!!! We are going to physically buy something else or rent something for the party!!!! We need to do this now!!!! Please let me know how soon the call tag can come in, so we can return. Thank you!

Nice pergola for the price. Instructions were pretty bad, but we managed. 2 person job should take 1-2 hours. Unfortunately the canopy ripped on a seam 2 weeks after we set it up. And one of the fabric loops ripped off too (see pics). Hoping seller sees this and can provide a new canopy.

It's soooo friggin cute! We love that we can still slide the top open to use the fire pit and it is good and heavy so I just put some extra weights on the poles and it has made it through a couple of gnarly Texas storms (including hail) Now for the reason I only gave 4 stars. *The 4 main poles that hold it up are one piece, which for structure is a good thing, But it makes it really hard to put it up, take it down. Or even move it. (We are active military) We really needed 4 ppl to do this but we only had 2. The instructions are handy but in a few places it could use the order of how to do things instead of an expanded pic. We had to take it back apart in a few places because of this. *Would have loved for some little loops or something to make it easier to hang things on the corners without it sliding off. * I really wish I could have been able to purchase extra curtain loops. I put curtains on it for extra sun protection and I could not for the life of me find any that would fit so it ended up with black zip ties. * and last... I don't like the drain holes in the cloth. I know it's spitting hairs, but if they weren't there my patio would mostly stay dry. We got it on a great deal, though and it will get lots and lots of use.

We are very happy with this pergola. It was one of the least expensive pergolas that saw when we were shopping so we decided to take a chance and are so happy that we did. It is a great value considering the cost. It is sturdy. We purchased it to protect the hot tub and ourselves from the sun but wanted something that could also be retracted to view the stars and sky. There was some issues with assembly as the photo on box didn’t exactly match the location of the support angles, but that was a small issue and was correct in the instructions. Overall we are very happy with it and have had no issues in the last two months since purchasing.
