I cooked up portions of ground beef to save time and based upon the quality of the seal, food preservation will not be a concern. The bag material is thick, and it seals well. The buttons and lights of the unit keep the user informed by registering a digital countdown to the finish. The noise level is comfortable. I have high hopes for this helper in my kitchen.
