Great quality parts and workmanship. Works fantastic. My only real complaint were the instructions. The wiring diagram was useful, but it didn't tell you which lugs on the 3-way toggle switch to solder the wires. I tried it once and had to redo my work. I ended up downloading the Throbak wiring harness diagram to get the accurate info. Worked like a champ. Also, I wish 920D made a version with standard (shorter) CTS pots. I ended up adding a couple of nuts to each pot to get the shaft the right height. No big deal, but kind of a pain. I would buy this product again. ... show more

    • Really rich sound A+ requires some skill to install.
Requires semi-advanced understanding of simple DC circuits, a decent soldering iron, and about an hour. Replaced the pots on my 1993 Korean made Epiphone Les Paul because my bridge pick volume pot was all kinds of scratchy and eventually started cutting in & out. I am super mechanically inclined and wired this myself. Took about 45 minutes. Couldn't be more pleased with the sound. Super clean and rich tone, bright bridge pickup sound without being too tin-y. Fat and thick neck pickup sound. Pots have 2 nuts on them so the depth can be set to whatever you like. (most Epiphones use the "short pot" but the long pot depth can be set). This kit also requires the 24 spline quick adjust knobs. Simplifies the wiring in the guitar, and can't comment more on happy I am with the sound this kit creates. ... show more

Removed the crappy epiphone push pull wiring in my les paul and swapped out with this kit, a little soldering, a set of 2 wire seth lover pickups, corsa 1 piece bridge stud adapters, a nickel non wire abr1, 1 inch imperial thread bushings, 1 inch studs(had to drill very carefully with a press and don't forget ground wire), and a nickel plated gibson aluminum tail, a set of ernie ball strings, and wow its sound is a hair away from my vintage Gibson for a third the price ... show more

    • 2 of 4 pots gave way when installing the speed knobs....
Installation was easy, packaging was superb, yet when installing speed knobs, 2 of the pots came apart, and the knobs are now loose. (The through post on the potentiometer separated from the housing.) Really disappointed with the final product turnout. Both volume pots only work when at 50% or greater. Meaning I dont have sound for half the rotation. Not sure if that has to do with the 2 that were loose or not. The first time I have tried 920D. ... show more

    • save time for lazy man like me, no need think and plan
bought a set 3 weeks ago for my chibson slash LP...loved it and had to buy another for spare just in case i feel sudden urge to do next guitar upgrade, gave 4 stars because one of the ground wires solder spot was not properly soldered, ground wire dismounted from the back of one of the tone pots.

Seems like quality workmanship went into it. I had a problem with one of the volume pots, it crackled and would cut out when turned, so I had to work on it a bit to make it function properly. Defective potentiometer. Other than that, it was well wired.
