I love these pickups they sound almost just like Kirk. they fit to any guitar that has a double humbucker setup and are relatively easy to install you just have to know a little bit about electronics but they also have a ton of YouTube videos about these. Definitely worth the money and if you end up not liking the tone of either the neck or bridge you can always swap them out with other pickups as long as you don’t have your guitar always plugged in the battery should last a long time other then that they should always work the best and give you the sound you’ve been looking for ... show more

This set is very high quality set, and almost complete. I had to purchase a 3 way toggle switch separately, which was also available on Amazon. It's also EMG so that everything will just plug together. The only soldering I noticed to do was the ground wire to the tremolo plate. This kit even includes a new stereo jack. ... show more

I am a huge fan of emg pickups. Four of my five guitars have emgs. I recently got an ibanez rg series from 2007 in good condition. I just didn't like the passive pickups in it so I decided to try out my first signature emg set. I have either 81/85 or 81/60 as those are my favorite especially the 60. kirks bone breakers are very similar to the classic 81/60 sound, but seem to have more clarity while retaining the emg sound and output that emg is known for. They sound good and they are easy to install but the quality of the pots are too loose , since the volume is right next to the the playing hand I find myself turning the volume down while playing and that's annoying I've seen low quality Chinese volume pots that held better than these loose volume pots and while playing it can get annoying ... show more

I love these pickups. I installed them in my Donner DMT-100 with a little bit of modification to the pickup cavity of the body. The install would have only taken 30 minutes max if it wasn’t for the modification needed for the pickups to drop into the body.
