Installed on fixture in panty. Working great so far. You do have to disassemble the light fixture and rewire, so some electrical knowledge is advisable. And not all fixtures have a "knock-out" for the attachment, so be sure to verify first. And please be sure the power if off while doing this. Once installed, easy to operate. It pulls apart from light fixture with 2 buttons if you need to make adjustments to sensitivity or "on" delay. At top sensitivity, will detect motion outside pantry if door left open. Hardest thing is to remember not to turn off light at switch. They actually have little covers here that you can buy to prevent that. I already ordered some. :-)

Review for the YM2501A, overall positive. This is a good little unit, comes with 2’ of wire, good detection range when mounted at 7', and holds on as long as motion is present. For non-technical people, all Neutrals (whites) wire together (sensor, fixture, and building), then connect the red from the sensor to the Line of the fixture(typically black). It is ok to have red and black together for this. Then the sensor black ties to the building wire that is hot or switched (often black or red). Big side buttons are to release the unit from the wiring harness for adjustment of the settings after installation, as the adjustment dials will be facing the ceiling, so there is no need to take the fixture back down. As of now, I am attributing its low cost to just being very basic. If there are any cons, I'd say "light" adjustment is not mentioned in the instructions, or even what that feature is supposed to be. My fixtures are in closets so it does not matter and I am not going to worry about trying to test. Instructions also say the minimum “on'' time is 30 seconds, but mine is 15 seconds. Overall, works well for me, so 5/5.

The motion sensor works great and is very sensitive. It took a few attempts to get the wiring right. As others have mentioned, the wiring diagram is not correct. However, the correction is very simple. Just connect the red wire from the sensor to the black wire (instead of the white wire) of the lighting fixture. Everything else is correct.

When reading the directions... It states red goes to white at the light, the white goes to the white coming from the wall and black goes to black at the wall/light... Did that and the sensor turns on but nothing happens with the lights. Was reading another product review that looks exactly the same as this and people were saying to switch the red with the white to red with the black and it works... So I did and it worked.

Was looking to add a motion sensor to the LED fixture in our kitchen pantry. Found this one had a good amount of reviews and decided to give it a shot. The wiring diagram was simple enough to follow. I used a hole saw to drill a spot into the side of my fixture. Ran the wires and simply spliced the black wire to my supply and the red wire to the fixture’s black wire. The white neutral was combined with the neutral from the fixture. Tested and it’s working perfectly with my settings. Shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Comes on immediately with motion. Great buy!

unit wired up and worked just fine. the only thing i do not like is the time adjustment is not variable, its either 15 seconds or 5 minutes; this would seem contrary to some of the listed products descriptions and info with product- but seller verified it is infact 15 seconds and will fix specs. a 1 minute or true variable setting would be much more desirable- perhaps look at other options before buying this.

Very cost effective way to control lights... perfect for new garage LED lights, never worry bout ON n OFF again.. wires easily if you have a bit of elect knowledge... so far, works great... good coverage...if you want to limit coverage, put tape over part of the dome for the price, hard to beat...
