Features

  • Crunchy pick attack, scooped mids, and just the right amount of saturation is what the Dimebucker bridge pickup is all about. Dime wanted his signature humbucker to have a thick crunch that sags just a little when you really lay into it. Combine that with a full, tight, low-end response, a ceramic magnet with dual stainless-steel blades, and you have the Dimebucker. Huge and straight from the brain of the late, great Darrell Abbot.
  • Combine with a 59 Model bridge pickup in the neck position for the setup that Darrell himself used, or get our Dimebag Set for neck and bridge.
  • Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Dimebucker uses a ceramic bar magnet, dual stainless-steel blades, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
  • Handmade in Santa Barbara, California: Seymour Duncan takes pride in designing and crafting our products to create the most amazing sound possible. That starts with providing an environment that attracts and retains our great team of engineers, product designers and craftsmen, many of whom have been with the company for decades.

  • Good
As always amazing sound

  • High output and just perfect for solos.
This is a great pickup. High output without breaking up. Not much thwack sound from my super heavy gauge picks. Harmonics scream! It's perfect.

  • Favorite pickups!
Who ever said pickups don’t make a difference in sound never had a dimebucker installed. This pickups sure pop and sound cleaner . I paired it with a SD 58 on the neck and sounds great. recommend it!

  • A pickup to keep you on your toes
So, this is my third SD dimebucker. One is in my Dean ‘Dime slime’ guitar and two will now enhance my JAB custom guitars that a hand built. These pickups by Seymour Duncan are in a category all by themselves. There are Many great pickups out there between passive and active types and I own some of the best from both categories. However my ‘dimebucker’ has some recording qualities that come through better than others. From heaven over the top metal, to light and airy for those moments when a wall of sound is not needed for the music that you have created. I’m looking forward to using these pickups on my fifth studio album called ‘Comet’ and blending together some sonic sounds that will be memorable. Thank you Seymour Duncan ... show more

  • Best Sonic Pick-Up Out There
Pretty much as advertised. I'd rather be able to rate it as 4.5 stars. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it is more muted on the low end than the sound graphs lead you to believe. You'll need a good eq to bring up the chomp. Otherwise, a very sonic and sensitive pick-up that performs better in my opinion than the EMGs, and no battery to maintain. I put this in a new Mahogany body Ibby Rg652 to give it a brighter, less underwater sound, and it sounds amazing. If you own a newer Prestige Ibanez RG or S series, note that you will be adding some holes to mount this. It doesn't bother me as I don't ever sell my Ibbys, but if you want to maintain your axe's worth, you will have to get creative with the double stick foam to use this. I would definitely recommend this pick-up if you are wanting to jettison active pick-ups, but grab an eq if you don't already have one to make these shine. ... show more

  • Uncertified Metalhead Review
YOU NEED TO KNOW.... NOT A HIGH OUTPUT PICKUP.. Sounds Great, However, I was expecting Dimebag nastyness right outta the box... I wish I woulda just went with EMG though... No second guessing... It is a great sounding, clean, crisp, sustainable sound,... I just love my OD heavy and driven... No beating a built in preamp... ... show more

  • MEATY!
Not probably what you'd expect.. A bit more lows and mids than a normal humbucker. These handle gain better than a normal humbucker and seem to add a bit more presence than a normal humbucker. If you play classic type rock these really are not suited for that. Is it worth switching out say to replace an Epiphone ProBucker? Not for the price tag. Not for a bit more of everything. A bit too much sizzle on the top end. If you are more metal or harder edged then these will do fine. ... show more
