I bought this GPS navigator to replace an old one, and the difference has been noticeable from the first use. The high-resolution touchscreen is crystal clear, even in bright sunlight, making it much easier to read the map while driving. It also responds very well to touch, with no annoying delays. The interface is intuitive, with clear and accessible menus. I especially liked that it includes free lifetime map updates, which is ideal for staying up-to-date without having to pay extra. The voice navigation is clear and the instructions are precise, giving me confidence when driving on unfamiliar routes. Another plus is that it powers up and acquires a GPS signal fairly quickly. I haven't had any issues with disconnection or loss of signal on the road. I also found the speed warning and speed camera alert functions useful; while not foolproof, they do help keep me alert.

Following the setup instructions provided with the GPS, I was able to power it on and acquire a satellite signal. The device recognized my location. So far, so good. The problem arose on page 8 of the instructions (see photo). I am able to complete step 1, but after tapping the button on the screen as indicated on step 2, I get a blank screen -- not the screen shown in step 3 of the instructions -- and I am unable to go any further, which means the navigation map and related functions cannot be accessed. I provided the above information to Amazon, who (rather than exchanging the product), put me in touch with the "seller" for technical support. The "seller" responded as follows: "The ASIN does not match any product sold by our store. We recommend double-checking the product page on Amazon and contact the correct seller for further assistance." I contacted Amazon once again, and was again given a link to contact the "seller" for technical assistance. The "seller" responded as follows: "It appears the product you are referring to is not something we carry. As our store specializes in lighting products, your inquiry may have been sent to us by mistake. We kindly suggest double-checking the product listing or your order history and reaching out to the correct seller for further assistance." The "Get Product Support" button under the Returns & Orders tab yields the same result -- a link to contact a seller who responds that they are not the seller. So, I can't get the unit to work, and am seemingly stuck in a loop of having to contact an unknown seller before Amazon will authorize a refund or exchange. Very frustrating. If this eventually gets worked out, I'll post an update. For now, however, my suggestion to anyone who may be considering this unit is to LOOK ELSEWHERE.

The directions were inaccurate, it told me to turn on one way streets the wrong way, it told me to turn on roads that were closed, it told me to make turns after I passed the road I was supposed to turn on, it told me to turn where there was not a road. Very poor, I would not wish this item on any body even if it were free.
