Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was a new to me product and got it on a whim because we were building a chicken coop and slowing down the wind during the winter is important. Fit: It fits nicely in the deep galleys of the type of steel roofing we have, but it's not practical for the wavy type because much would be needed to serve the purpose. Functionality: It will be slowing those paper wasps from getting in and building nests in corners. We cut it to use at the peak and where the galleys where the roofing met the frames. These foam weather closure strips for a metal roof are great. They are made with thick black firm foam and in the shape of the corrugated roofing panels. They have clear adhesive tape all along the bottom. Be careful not to pull the actual glue strip off while removing the white strip protector. This package includes ten (10) strips that are about 36 inches long each. These fit right under the ridge cap to seal and protect from rain and insects. These can also be used to seal the underside ends of the roof to keep rain and bugs from going under the roofing. Make sure to clean the metal surface well to ensure the adhesive will stick. You may want to add some clear sealant just to reinforce the bonding. We are pleased with these weather strips for a corrugated roof. ... show more

Got these to put between the roof "R" panels and transition flashing to keep the wasps out from building nests so I don't have to deal with them every time I go on the roof. Last thing you want to do when up there is to get swarmed by wasps. All I had to do was take the screws out of the flashing, bend it up slightly, stick the strips down and then put the screws back in. The ends also lock together, so there are zero penetrations for the wasps to get under the roof metal and flashing void. These would also keep blowing rain out, but I have stick-down watersheild installed under the roof panel above on the higher roof and under the flashing onto the lower roof, so there's no way for water to get in anyway. These also make the roof transition look more finished. I had 28' to do, so 10 pieces was the perfect amount. Great price and shipped/received fast. 5- Stars! ... show more
