I have a repurposed plant stand in my home office that I use to hold stuff for work. The plant stand has a metal base with a raised metal edge (to hold pots, of course). However, I don't care for the thin metal edge when I am using it for other purposes. This trim was PERFECT to clean that up. I had 4 circular shelves that needed to receive trim, and 10 feet was the perfect amount. I generally pride myself on including excellent photos with reviews, but unfortunately it was hard to do with this. I apologize for the quality of the photos. Because the shelves I was trimming had support poles, I had to cut the trim to fit. It is easy to cut and semi-easy to measure (it does curl up on its own d/t packaging). The instructions make a ton of sense - place the trim, adjust to where you need it, then use tweezers to remove the plastic film, which exposes the adhesive. However, in my situation, I could not reach the film when applying, so I removed it beforehand and applied the trim after. This is less than ideal, because it then sticks to itself, but I was still able to apply it relatively easily. I was even able to slightly adjust it after initially applying it. Again, not ideal, but this isn't a project for NASA, and it still turned out looking great. Overall, after applying this trim to the metal edges, my plant stand / desk companion ended up looking CLEAN. I no longer have to worry about the edges scratching my keyboard, xbox controller, tv remote, or whatever I decide to place on it. At $7.99, I feel like I got a great value. ... show more

Arrived tightly rolled flat and therefore deformed. However, the rubber is soft so it went on nicely once I got over my skepticism. I edged a 3/4” MDF board with a vinyl top, about 75x48” but with six corners. The corner notches are best precision cut after application, with an X-Acto blade. Patience is the key. ... show more

I use a cane so when I sit in my chair or lay in bed I pull out the cabinet drawer by those places and lay the cane across the open drawer. Over time I've nicked up the open drawer's top edge terribly. This self-stick edging was just what I needed for a quick repair. I now have nice edges on the drawer tops that still allows the drawer to be closed. As an added benefit the cane sits snugly on the rubber edge and doesn't slide about AND the edge provides a soft landing spot for my cane that prevents noise. The latter is great for those late night bathroom visits in the dark. This will help me avoid waking my wife. One thing of note : The paper strip you have to pull off to expose the sticky surfaces is difficult to get ahold of. A razor blade enabled me to slip under the paper strip to grasp it. Also, care must be taken to not pull off the sticky strip along with its paper cover. A bit fiddly but well worth the effort. ... show more
