  • make sure you get it long enough to make that good seal.
Size: 37" Style: T-Shaped
fit right on the door seems they are all the same size from aluminum doors. worked great to make a good seal on the bottom of the door.

  • great replacement for screen door
Size: 37" Style: T-Shaped
Easy to install. Appeared to be direct replacement for original 30 yrear old screen bottom

  • Width is wider than specified
Size: 37" Style: T-Shaped
The product is specified as 1/8" wide but it is actually 3/16" wide. I spent a half hour carefully trimming it to 1"8" wide to fit my door which does have a 1/8" channel and a 1/8" original seal.

  • Does not fit all doors.
Size: 37" Style: T-Shaped
Be careful. This item does not fit all storm doors. I had to trim the width of the 'T' it to get it to fit and that took a long time.

  • Check The Track Slot First
Size: 37" Style: Y- Shaped
This review is of the M-D Building Products gray vinyl "Y" shaped storm door bottom seal, ASIN B000I1CDJC. I found that the product does exactly what it is supposed to do, but I had some difficulty getting it into the track holding the seal. I was fortunate that my door had a removable bottom piece held on by only two screws. One of my doors has the track as an unremovable part of the door. Being able to put the strip in a vice between two pieces of wood greatly simplified the job. After removing the track, I had to free up the crimped ends holding the old seal. The door manufacturer had made the end crimps needlessly deep, but screwdrivers, some punches, a hammer, and patience freed up the track ends without causing damage. There were a few other places where the "Y" slot had been bent so these areas also needed some work. If the track is free of all bends into the "Y", the new seal will slide through easily. It was very beneficial to cut off a 1/2" piece of the new seal to be used as a test gauge. This was used to check the full length of the "Y" slot to ensure that the new seal could be installed without difficulty. I did find some more tight areas in the track although it did not visually appear to be bent. After the test piece would slide all the way across the track, I lubricated the seal "Y" and the track slot with plenty of Dawn dishwashing soap before pulling in the new seal. I used more than a few paper towels as it was messy. I staked each track end to hold the new seal in place, although not nearly as deep as what was there originally, so that it would be much easier in the future to put in another replacement seal.
