  • Long-lasting for Low Movement Gaps, Measure Carefully
Size: Medium Gaps
Well, it's been 12 years, so I think it's time to say if this item works or not, haha. This Duck foam weatherstrip seal works as intended. I used it around my front door, which had a gap about 5/16" from the door frame, so that is the thickness I bought. I found that the width didn't matter in my case, because the tape was going to be more narrow than my door no matter what. I can tell you that this stuff works. You used to be able to feel the cold air blowing in through those cracks and now it doesn't, and the tape has stayed on for over a decade!!! Full disclosure, I only open this door about 2-3x a week and I live in the northeast, so it's not particularly hot. I don't know if the tape will hold up in places that regularly get 100 degree summers, or if you keep opening and closing the taped area. Also you need to measure carefully. If your gap is smaller than 5/16", you can squish this foam in that crack, but it will be a pain to open and close. If you buy something too thin for your gap, then there will be a draft anyway. So you have to measure just right. I measured accurately and you can see in one of my photos how it completely seals between the door and the frame perfectly. My door is every so slightly crooked, so where the distance was smaller than 5/16" got a lot of friction when opening and closing the door, so you can see in the other photo where the tape doesn't stick anymore and kind of broke off, flopping around. But that is the only section where that happened, the rest has stayed intact all this time. Just buy this stuff and take a chance like I did, if it doesn't work for you, then you are only out a few dollars. I have saved so much money on heating and cooling costs over the years, was totally worth the small gamble to see if it would work. Have spent my money on much more worse purchases here. 😂 ... show more

  • Nice weatherstripping seal tape
Size: Medium Gaps
Love this stuff! I bought it to use in my RV in case I detect any window or door drafts this winter. I've used this before on my prior older RV and really like this seal tape. It holds well, adheres quickly and strongly, is easy to apply, but it won't curve around a corner. You'll have to piece it if you're applying to a corner. You also need to clean the area first (I used alcohol), and make sure the outside temp isn't cold. UPDATE: My previous RV had drafty windows and there were a couple of places where they didn't quite close tightly, so I opened the window slightly, laid down a strip of this tape, then cranked the window shut and snugged it closed. There was also a place on the front door where I also used this seal tape to make a new weatherstripping seal. ... show more

  • Decent but Didn’t Work Out for My Needs
Size: Medium Gaps
This Weatherstrip seemed like an easy solution for sealing gaps around my doors and windows, but unfortunately, it didn’t perform as well as I’d hoped. The foam itself felt a bit too thin and didn’t fully expand to fill the gap I was working with, even though it was listed for medium gaps. The adhesive was also not as strong as expected because it started to peel off after a short time, especially on surfaces that weren’t perfectly smooth. While I’ve had good experiences with Duck Brand products before, this particular seal just didn’t live up to the same standard. I ended up having to return it, but I do think it could work fine for smaller or more even gaps where less pressure is needed. For heavier-duty sealing, though, it might not hold up long-term. Overall, it’s a decent idea with easy installation, but in practice, the adhesive strength and foam density fell short for my intended use. ... show more

  • Works great! No more draft
Size: Medium Gaps
This worked great at replacing the seal around my front door. The medium size with two rolls was enough for the three edges of the door plus a little left over. Getting the old foam seal off was DIFFICULT! You can try using a hair dryer to heat the adhesive (be sure to move it around so that it does not leave brown burn marks). As it is heating, use something like a credit card to shove between the frame and the tape to loosen the adhesive. I found out the hard way that mine continues at a 90 degree angle into another crack, so I used some needle nose pliers, got a corner up, and pulled as hard as I could. And it finally came off! Make sure that you clean the surface and let it dry before applying the new tape. The seal is easy to install and very easy to cut. I was worried that it might not be thick enough but it was perfect. I cannot feel any drafts coming through the door anymore. Works great! Something I did not think about is the fact that the seal is black, where my frame is beige, so it is rather obvious but only when the door is open. If this matters to you, you may want to find one that is the same color as the door frame. ... show more

  • Doesn’t stick
Size: Medium Gaps
Disappointed by this weather stripping. Have tried to use it in multiple places and each time the stripping has peeled off the surface and fallen to the ground. I am constantly reattaching it just so I can open and close my front door. Wish I could return it, but kind of impossible once you’ve used it. ... show more
