I could not use a traditional fork tool or a U Puller on a 1966 Mustang steering cylinder. This easily tapped into place and popped the ball joint with a 1/2 inch ratchet! It is a simple tool, but mine was made poorly so it did not work. The screw was misaligned so that it missed the lever arm completely which prevents it from working. The lever arm was also bent and both of these errors are not fixable because the tool is die cat metal. Shame

A few things I liked about this tool. Best price on Amazon. It arrived at my house within one day. I was removing a steering slave cylinder from a 66 mustang. This part was on the for 57 years! With this tool I was able to remove it in a few minutes. If you're looking for a pretty shiny tool this ain't it, if you're looking for a VERY economical tool that works, this tool's for you. ... show more

Was attempting to seperate a ball joint with the impact wrench and to my surprise it bent near the bolt. I released it to not snap it in two. Bummer!

    • Got the job done
It's crudely made and feels like powdered metal that will break under force... but it popped the upper lateral link out on my RX-8 that the smaller dorman tool didn't fit over, so I'll call it a win.
