These Christmas lights are a beautiful addition to our space! We wanted to add more light to an enclosed back porch, but did not want to limit it to a lamp of some sort. We liked the idea of having string lights, and thought these would work well in that application. We were not wrong. The lights are warm, not overpowering, but definitely add some color and subtle light into the space. We can use these lights alone if we are going for a chill environment, or combine with our lamp light to properly illuminate the space. The lights have a variety of blinking options, which is cool, though we just like to keep them on the whole time. The lights are LED's and have a flat top (rather than bulb or candle light) design. I like it, though I will admit that if I was using these for Christmas, I would prefer the bulb or candle light design better... this is of course a personal preference. We have been using these lights for a few weeks, and we really like them. The space is enclosed, but nevertheless open to the harsh heat of the summers, and so far they have been working out pretty well, with one exception... Recently, after having the lights on for a few hours, I went to go turn them off, and I noticed the power supply for the lights was pretty hot. Not enough to burn the hand, melt plastic, or cause a fire, but hot enough that it made me take notice. Unfortunately we did get some lights in the past that nearly caused a fire because of how hot they got. I do not think any power supply should be generating heat to this level, so this is a concern that I am going to keep my eye on. At the moment I do not know if the extension cord is to blame or the lights, so that will be something to test in the future. I do not want to be quick to blame the lights as it could be the extension cord, so I will update this review with any updates as we continue to test them. ... show more

These string lights arrived exactly as pictured. They connect easily and have 3 different light patterns to choose from. I've had them outside through rain storms and no problems. I'd highly recommend these lights to anyone.

Pros: - Suited for indoor OR outdoor use, and you can connect 4 strands at once - Timer options (6 hours on, 18 hours off) - Various lighting settings (blinking, fading, flashing, solid, etc.), including one that shuffles all the options Cons: - Some of the lighting settings are a little too flashy in my opinion--probably fine for outdoor use where you won't be too close, but indoors it can be a bit much. ... show more

This string of lights was chosen for an outside tree, I love twinkle lights in every season. They almost seemed to nice to put outside! The braided cord covering the wires is very thick and a nice natural shade of green. The lights are on sturdy with no fear of losing one. The end plug is also a remote with several different light patterns which makes this light string really fun in setting a mood. The plug is not waterproof but it fits in my waterproof plug holders that are available everywhere so I feel safe. I was surprised at how yellow they looked but the do match the color of big string lights on my porch. I think the LED lighting we all have inside now is so much different then the warm white of yesteryear! By the time I hung the lights I was used to the color and think the bright white may be too cool for summer. These lights are a very good choice. ... show more

I bought these Christmas lights in July because I wanted them in my home office where I keep my book shelves. I lined the exterior of my cases with these for fun and they look so cute! I love how they illuminate the spines of my books for a warm glow. They really add some oomph to my fantasy section, which is exactly what I wanted. Just got a set of these string led lights. They appear to be well built and all of the bulbs work. The bulbs are hardwired into the strand, so they are not replaceable. We really like the glow of these lights. Sometimes led bulbs can be too bright or intense, but these bulbs were perfect for us. The plug in is a little larger than expected and has a white push button on the end for changing the patterns. We are very pleased with this purchase. ... show more
