So far it's worked as expected, from reading the online description. I like the lower-than-most noise level running on low fan, which is still a decent stream of air. It is one of the better window ACs I've owned.

It cools like it should except on ECO mode. First item. It defaults to ECO mode when the unit is powered on. The ECO mode will turn the fan off when the compressor is not running which is what it is supposed to do. But in ECO mode the temperature regulation is poor. In ECO mode the room can warm up a lot before the AC kicks on. You can turn off ECO and then temperature regulation is good. Here is my fix so I can use ECO mode. I aim a fan at the front of the unit where the temperature sensor sits behind the filter. The small add-on fan continuously blows room temperature air at the temperature sensor area. Now the ECO mode works well. The AC cycles on and off to properly maintain a steady room temperature. Small fans are on Amazon such as an 80mm 120V fan, or a USB fan plugged into a USB AC plugin adapter. Second item. The low contrast design of the display and button text. Blue LEDs behind dark plastic is harder to see in most lighting conditions than are green or red LEDs. Third, the WiFi feature uses an app. The app requires registering a login account online with your email. I felt vibes of being tracked and my data being spread to the wind. I declined using the app. The actual brand and model of the AC I received as printed on the box is GARVEE CWF8 model TWC-08CRD1/L0U. A lot of other brands sold on Amazon look exactly like this one. I assume that behind the seller and the brand these are all the same model from the same manufacturer. ... show more

My last window A/C literally blew up in the middle of a hot summer day. I was legitimately traumatized… 💥 😱 But I immediately hopped Amazon. Found this AC, and after doing a bit of research; and reading others reviews online. It is/was very affordable and everyone seemed to like it. So I took a chance on this one. And extremely glad I did! It does a phenomenal job at keeping my apartment cool. Even when it’s scorching hot out! 🔥 I used to have to sit near my old AC just to cool off. This thing cools basically my entire apartment by itself. No fans to help circulate air or anything. It’s also much more quiet than any window AC I’ve ever had. Heads up though, if it’s not too hot out turn this sucker off before going to bed! Or put it on fan mode cuz you’ll be a popsicle by the time you wake up! 🥶 😉 ... show more

This AC works but it is so noisy that unless you live without any neigbors you will not want to hang this thing out of your window. Others will complain about the noise. I would return it but it has been so hot, I cannot be without an AC right now.
