Potent Saw! Just spent an hour trimming my apple trees and the saw never faltered. Was surprised to see how long the battery lasted. (It never did die.) This saw is as simple as possible but the quality of the parts seems very high. Be careful with it as it is more powerful than you might expect. Check the chain tension regularly. Amazing value in this saw and it is light enough that I will take it mountain biking after our local wind storms take down trees.

I love this little saw it definitely is a powerful & durable little thing.Easy to assemble the chain & clean . I used it for 3 hours and the battery is still full . Not good for small limbs less then 2 inch had lots of kickback and chain came off but it does awesome on bigger ones and cut thru 3 hours worth without a problem. Only used 1 oil fill up to do that job. Very light and easy to handle with 1 hand. Thank You so much for fast shipping 🙂

(Note: This saw replaces an earlier version I bought when these types first appeared about three years ago. The Votrek design uses several of the same design elements however is significantly improved in every respect.) The handheld 8 inch Votrek is remarkably capable: The batteries last long enough to get real work done; the automatic oiler works well, better than at least one name brand gas saw I own. And, so far, at least, it doesn't continue to drip after use; the motor uses an electronic brake to stop quickly; the chain can be sharpened but new chain is cheap and available; the motor uses a combination of (reasonable) power and high chain speed, and will stop if overloaded; the chain tensioner actually holds the adjustment. One thing that could be better is the limited size of the oil tank.

Not pleased with this product. It does not even cut small branches on bushes so would not do a tree cutting. The chain comes off and is not easy to put on. I would return this item but I waitd too long to try it and now cannot return it. Very disappointed in this product. Beware.

Great product. So easy to use. Two batteries , each lasts one hour, so I was able to get plenty done. Twice the efficiency if using gas chainsaw, and don’t have to mix fuel or carry the gas cans. Two thumbs up!
