If you didn’t read the fine print in the listing for this saw, it is NOT 15’ long. It’s 8’ long and they assume your arms are 5’ off the ground and that your arms are 2’ long. Add all of those numbers together and that’s where they say it has 15’ of reach. I don’t want to see you order something that won’t reach what you need to cut. This saw was incredibly easy to put together, which was a good thing because their instructions were pretty minimal and didn’t really show you much. The biggest issue I had was that I put it together in my living room and then it was so long. It was difficult to get out the door. It has two buttons that you can press near the head of the saw. One of them adjust the angle for which the sauce sits for cutting the limb. The other one allows you to turn the saw 360° so that you can find the most comfortable position for it while you are cutting. I was concerned with as long as this was if it would be difficult to hold or if it would feel flimsy while you were cutting over your head. That was definitely not the case. It was very easy to hold onto and the extension bar was surprisingly sturdy while you were putting pressure on it to cut the limb. It was lightweight enough that it did not become a burden, keeping your arms up in the air and it had plenty of power to cut the small limbs on an oak tree that I was trying to trim up. The largest limb I attempted to cut was about 3 inches diameter, and the saw easily had the power to do it like it was nothing. I only used it for about 15 minutes, but it certainly was durable enough to handle the tasks that I tried to tackle with it. I guess my biggest suggestion would be to wear a hardhat or tree cutting helmet while using this. I had two limbs fall that almost landed on me. I started out with a fully charged 7.0 AH battery. After about 15 or 20 minutes of cutting it still showed a full charge so the saw does not use a lot of power to operate. It stores away nicely in the provided carrying bag and they sent two extra chains with the saw. I appreciate that. All in all, this is a great little tool that will definitely pay for itself quickly. After years of using the hand operated one where you have to pull the cord to get it to cut, and it always seemed to get stuck in the limb, I wish I would have ordered this much sooner. ... show more

I gave this chainsaw five stars because it does exactly what I need it for. The yard on the east side of our house is dense with highly invasive Rose of Sharon trees and Sumac trees, and this tool did the job just as well as my 16" battery powered chainsaw but with better battery life. I worked this chainsaw hard for nearly 40 minutes before taking a break and I had two bars left out of 4 on the battery indicator light. My 16-inch chainsaw doesn't last more than 20 minutes at a full charge. The best thing is the toolless tensioning mechanism. It totally minimizes the down time of working while fumbling with wrenches and screwdrivers to tighten up the chain every 10 minutes or so of sawing. I noticed a couple people reviewed that the oil compartment leaks if you lay it down a certain way or when you hold it high over your head, but that was not the case with mine. I'm guessing they had bad ring gaskets on their oil cap, but that's not for me to say. ... show more
