We installed these in the hallways of my condo building, replacing extremely dim, dated CFL light fixtures. These lights have a diffusing lens that really help avoid that “interrogation light” effect you experience with so many other LED lights on the market. The mounting bracket is really sturdy and simple to install. Having the choice of three different color settings is a big plus. We chose the “warm white” setting as it looks so good with our brown carpet and light yellow paint. As the lights are only 1” thick, the ceilings look much higher and clean/streamlined as compared to the ugly old “boob” lights. Installation took us about 10 to 15 minutes per light. No drilling required as the mounting bracket fits directly onto the electrical box. As we had 40 light fixture to install, we used cordless screwdrivers. This made the job go much faster and avoided sore hands. This project cost us only $1,000 to replace ALL of the hallway and stairwell lights in our four story building. We saved $3,000 in labor costs by doing the job ourselves. Time well spent. My only complaint is that the wire nuts included are way too small for connecting the light to your home’s wiring. The product I received had obviously been opened and installed previously for at least two of the four I ordered. No complaints on the product and so far they are working well and look good installed. Disappointed that the seller shamelessly repacked a return and sold it as new.

I had everything as flat as can be before I took a hammer and made indents for the wire nuts to fit into. And even then twisting this thing on will drive you crazy, and then if you don’t like the light setting, you get to twist it off and fight all over again. I bought 2 two-packs of these in black. I changed my walk-in pantry, master closet (2), and utility room light. The softest color temperature is kind of pinkish, so I left the pantry bright white and others at the middle setting, which is slightly whiter than the fluorescent bulbs I took out.
