  • Good bang for the buck.
This monitor offers great value: It's a good bang for the buck. If money isn't an issue and you require the very best picture quality for gaming, then you probably should look at a much pricier OLEDs. This monitor has somewhat good colors, and the picture quality can be nice and crisp. The monitor isn't well configured out of the box. You have to play with the toggle switch to get the advertised feature set. In order to get 160hz you have to turn on DisplayPort overclocking on the monitor in the toggle switch menu. I couldn't get 160hz to work with HDMI 2.1. it only works with DP 2.1. To get the full 160hz, windows display settings and nvidia control panel have to have the same refresh rate settings, along with DP overclocking on the monitor. If these aren't set properly, the screen may flicker off and on and show black screens. The display has flat colors out of the box so you must also play with the toggle switch to change the color settings. I like the "warm" preset. Adaptive sync/FreeSync also has to be turned on via toggle switch menu in order to remove screen tearing in gameplay. I have this monitor hookedup to a 5070 ti gpu and it runs games very well at 4k max settings. However, with some fast-paced games, the monitor produces grainy, muddy images with max-out graphic settings. To fix this issue, you have to play with the toggle switch settings and set "response time" to "fastest." The "fastest" setting makes the image quality clean and clear during fast paced action. This setting is only useful with very high graphic settings. It may overshoot or cause arti-facting with lower graphics settings. Bottom line is that this can be a really good monitor for the price, but you have to play with the toggle switch settings to get the full feature set. there are other more pricier models that a lot easier to use. ... show more

  • Solid 4k monitor for an affordable price
The media could not be loaded. I owned the previous iteration of this monitor at 1440p 144hz and decided to take advantage of the Prime days deal. It's literally the exact same monitor with the only difference being that it's 4k and 160hz. (Note: it's not 160hz out the box, you need to activate DP Overclocking and you're good to go from there. Might also need to go to your GPU's control panel as well). If your GPU/CPU is capable of it, there's a noticeable difference between 1440p and 4k as it relates to picture quality. Everything looks much sharper and there is a greater level of detail. Keep in mind, if your GPU/CPU cannot handle 4k gaming, then this might not be worth a purchase. I have a 5070 and with upscaling, I get 150+ FPS in COD. You can't really notice the curved screen while doing basic work but during gaming it's a nice little treat to have. The monitor has flexible height adjustment and the colors during gameplay are bright and vivid. All in all, for the price and an affordable entry into 4k gaming, this isn't a bad option at all. I see other reviews mention that you can't see things that well from the side and I would tend to agree but then again, I don't know anyone who plays games viewing them from the side. This is a good 4k gaming monitor for a solid price. ... show more

  • Ten months in and I use it everyday for at least 8 hours
I have 3 of these connected to 2 computers. One is a work laptop and the other is a gaming pc I built. They get a lot of use and they have continued to work reliably day after day. I will say that sometimes they will have difficulty waking when switching inputs from one computer to the other. This could be partially due to the computers themselves or the OS not recognizing that it is still connected to a monitor, but I do know that sometimes I have to turn the monitor off and then on again after switching inputs. This can be annoying, but not a big deal. The only other thing is that I like bright screens and I spent a good amount of time messing with the settings to get it bright enough without having a washed out look. Once I did that, I haven't needed to mess with the settings again and the picture is quite good for not being OLED, especially for gaming. Be careful with the descriptions saying "Frameless Design". The physical bezel is very thin, but the LCD has about a quarter of an inch of black before reaching the plastic bezel. If you butt these monitors against one another like I do, you'll end up with almost 3/4 of an inch of black in between the monitors. This hasn't affected my gaming too much, but you should be aware of this. Overall I would give this 3 1/2 stars, but that isn't an option, so I rounded up. It is better than average, but only slightly considering their claims and the regular list price. ... show more
