    • Nice Quality Gun Cabinet - Easy To Assemble - Easy To Operate
This is a decently made long gun lock box. It's definitely not a safe in any manner of the word, but it's a decent gun cabinet if you need to keep firearms out of the hands of little ones. The assembly was relatively straight forward and took me about 35 minutes from start to finish. The box it arrives in is pretty heavy, so it will be helpful to have an extra hand available to get it inside and to whatever room you are going to put it together. I opted to put it in the basement. It's extremely dry down there so I am not worried about keeping moisture away from the firearms. The keypad was easy to program once the lock box was assembled and it's a keypad that you turn in order to actually disengage the bolts from the side of the cabinet. If you are looking for something to completely stop the theft of your long guns, you would probably want to look into a legitimate floor safe, but if you are not worried about theft, but just want to keep your weapons out of the hands of kids, this is perfect. It would likely slow a thief down a bit, but they are 100% going to be able to get into this with enough time. Our basement is finished with wood stud interior walls and drywall, so I opted to bolt this to the studs with 3" lag bolts. I would absolutely recommend bolting this down, as several adults could pick it up (even full of firearms) and carry it out of the house.     • Decent locker but not good build quality.
I'll get right to the point this is a decent Gun Locker and not a safe. It seems to be pretty solid for a Gun Locker, it locks up nice and tight the locking lugs are nice and thick. And it does have a decent amount of room in it. Now my issues are the instructions are not good and the fit and finish is not good. As an example while I was able to get this built, a good portion of the screw holes do not line up so I was not able to install them. So the build quality is lacking . ... show more

    • Lock is the only good thing.
I am very disappointed in this cabinet. The Bad: The photos in the description are very deceiving. You cannot place a standard riffle in it with the top shelf installed. It was difficult to put together with the tiny screws provided. The carpet padding for the bottom didn't have the corners notched out as the pictures show. The head of the screwdriver provided was too small for the screws. It was difficult to get everything lined up and the screws kept cross-threading. The Good: It locks. It's not meant to be a "safe" but a place to house things safely. It's lightweight and can be moved after you unload it. (Don't move it with it loaded down!) I will not be using the pin pad, only the key. If you are looking for something to keep children out of, this will work just fine. ... show more

    • Easy to assemble, good storage, won't fit longer guns
Having a child that is getting just old enough to figure things out and get into something he's not supposed to, we figured it was time for a lockable gun cabinet for safety. Although this is not fire-proof, this is a pretty sturdy cabinet with nice features for locking and securing it. What's particularly nice is that we can generally just use a combination to get in, but there is a key in case that is forgotten, plus the alarm if someone tries to get into it unauthorized. There are lots of pouches and spaces for pistols and accessories, which is nice, too. This was easy to put together with fairly straightforward instructions. Some of the parts (internal shelf and "peg board") arrived dented/bent, but it doesn't really affect the usability of the cabinet. Once the shelf is installed, however, this limits the length of the guns you store in there - longer rifles and most shotguns are too long to fit in this cabinet, at least with the shelf installed. We may be able to modify the shelf a bit to allow longer guns on one side - haven't really evaluated that far yet. Another thing that would be nice is if there were a knockout toward the bottom to allow a cord so that a heater/dehumidifier can be mounted inside (like a goldenrod). Overall it's a good secure cabinet if you don't need to store longer guns and aren't looking for something fireproof. ... show more

    • Great budget locking cabinet!
This is a great budget friendly option for a locking gun cabinet. Where one may not sped extra dollars these days on a locking cabinet if they already have a safe, this presents a great option to have a secondary option for when you are working on an item so you must remove it from the safe. This is a roomy enough cabinet that is still light enough and cost effective enough to place in any number of rooms, or even move as needed. Not ultra secure, but enough to keep things “out of sight” and secure on an as needed basis. Super simple assembly, again being light weight helps in this regard. Do not confuse this for being a safe, it is most certainly a “locking cabinet” as described. Better than many locking file cabinets as it is designed with long guns in mind. ... show more
