Fit and working good

I struggled a bit with installation. I never noticed the included carb spacer it was about 1/2 as thick as the original. Carb was very tight fitting with the included gasket but I figured it was not the exact same carb and therefore the clearance issue with the motor cover was due to that. Unfortunately I didn't notice the inner bolt on the carb was tight due to bottoming out in hole, not tighting the carb correctly. It felt like it had tightened properly. Started the engine up and it was hunting very bad. Shut it down. Noticed gas leaking out the carb at the air filter (air filter not on yet). Pulled the carb and the bowl and found the float hung on the center inlet stud. There was a ridge on the float that would hang on the center inlet. A quick scrape with a knife cleared the ridge at the point it was hanging up. Put the carb back on and this is when I noticed the inner bolt was bottoming out. Ah ha, the spacer was too thin. Used the original spacer and all was good. Engine runs great now but it was more than an easy swap. I have seen others complain about gas pouring out of the carb which indicates needle is not seating and shutting off the flow of fuel. I hope others can learn from my experience and check, and if need be fix, the float before installing the carb.
