    • Where has this hose been all my life!
This hose is EXCELLENT! I have many different water hoses in my household. I have 100% rubber hoses I have used for attaching to my power washer and a "pro level" 3/4" commercial hose currently for that purpose and most other purposes that was very expensive. I have also previously purchased multiple types of "compact" hoses for use around the house, so I didn't have to pull out the 'expensive" hose and reel it back onto it's real and found that they were almost always crap! This hose I believe has changed that frustration with "crap compact" hoses! This hose, while "steel" is by far the most flexible hose I have ever used. Also, unlike other hoses (even the expensive ones!) this one winds up into a tight package VERY EASILY! (EVERYTIME!) I live at the beach on the Gulf coast and the weather here can really beat up "garden tools" you leave outside. However, with this hose being so easily wound up and it fits in a small space when it is, I can easily store this in my garage out of the weather unlike all previous hoses. ("compact" ones and the expensive ones.) The hose has not leaked in the multiple times I have used it and NO, I am NOT running this hose over with my car to "test" it!!! My "new favorite hose" is too "valuable" to treat it that way! All hoses could potentially leak due to wear or age as this one could possibly leak if left outside in the weather 24/7? But with how compact this hose is and how easily it winds up (You won't believe it!) there is no reason to leave this out everyday IMO. (Not that you have to put it up every time you use it, but I just don't see the reason you would leave this outside 24/7/365 like some hoses. It just is SO EASY to wind up and store!) I don't think I'd use this with my 5000-psi power washer, I'll still use my very expensive commercial hose for that, but for everything else around the house this is now my "go to" hose for its convenience.     • Not a drop leaked from hose.
I've had issues finding a garden hose that doesn't leak behind the male coupling where you screw on your spray nozzle. Not the spray nozzle leaking, but BEHIND where the spray nozzle attaches, I don't know what that piece is specifically called. But the last two supposedly "best quality" garden hoses I bought from shmome shmepot leaked in the same way so that when you're using the hose with a sprayer, it leaks all over your hand and legs. Now that you feel sorry for me and my hard life, I'd like to introduce how this new hose has improved the quality of my life. This hose came with extra o-rings, which I appreciated. I plugged (screwed) this hose into my hose bib and fired it up and not a drop of water escaped. Except through the crappy spray nozzle that I bought from afore mentioned store started leaking from the business end, I'm assuming because the leaking hose hid the leaking nozzle before. I can't say for sure and will update this if anything changes because the old hoses didn't necessarily start leaking right off the bat, but I threw the old hose in the trash without a second thought, and this is my new hose until it isn't. It won't kink, and won't crush (within reason) it was a little hard to get it to unwind as I couldn't quite find homeostasis where it was straight without the waves you get when it's been coiled and not unwound all the way, but it didn't affect the useability of the hose at all, and I might just not be used to this material hose and will figure it out later. It's long enough for any purpose I have, pretty much just spraying chicken poop off of my back patio and watering whatever plants I'm attempting to not murder in the summer. Overall, I'm very happy, so far, with this hose for my purposes. I will update this if anything starts leaking. ... show more

    • I'm a Fan...Sort of
I have several of these types of hoses now from different companies. They are all identical in build and quality...which is very good. The hose is strong, but NOT light. You will definitely feel the difference when dragging 50 feet of this or more around your yard. At 25 feet, pretty versatile. One thing which I do not enjoy is the fact that I often will crimp my rubber garden hose to take a nozzle off, or put on a sprinkler. Often times I have over a hundred feet of hose on any of my several water lines. I cannot crimp this hose, which forces me all the way back to the water bib and back again to make a quick changeout...not quick at all. It is crush resistant. I ran this over several times with my car in the yard, and the hose was absolutely fine. However, I ran the hose over on some shell rock, and it bent the hose. It still functioned and the drop in pressure was barley noticeable. I took a pair of channel locks and squeezed it back into shape. The hose was still pliable in the damaged area...so good one on Palint (company). I do like this hose, but just know it is a bit heavier and you will have to turn the water off anytime you want to switch attachments. Or you can just enjoy being soaked, your choice. One last niggle. The brass fittings are nice, but the 'collar' is mighty thin. The part where you will grip to add and remove attachments and attach the hose to the water bib. I wish it was wider. You can unscrew the protective collar to help get pliers or channel locks in there, but it's another step you have to make. The collars are knurled but not deeply. I suggest wrapping a layer of teflon tape on all of the fittings. I have minerals in my water, and at some point, I will have to fight a hose to the death to uncouple a fitting. A little teflon tape helps a lock up. I like this hose...and will use the heck out of it. It's just not perfect. ... show more
