I looked at 10-12 different tripods before buying this one. Most of them were about $10 less expensive and a few were $10 more expensive. I am SO GLAD I bought this one (in the middle price-wise) because I can't believe how well made and multi-functional this tripod is...far better than I was expecting!! The maximum height is over 6 feet, so you'll have to stand on a step stool to adjust it if you extend the legs to the maximum. You definitely get a big bang for your buck with this stand...so I can highly recommend it. The only con is that the directions could be better written. However, if your IQ level is average you will figure it out very quickly - without having to look at the directions.

I’m not sure about this tripod. I like that the height adjustment goes higher than my amazon basics tripod and it is has a solid base. The monopod seems a little a squirly but that could be a good thing for panning. I’m keeping it it is better than the Amazon basics one I had been using. It has a good bag/case easy to put away, carry and take out. As long as I can learn to get the center monopod post steady I will be happy with this tripod.

I'm using this tripod primarily to hold my iPad for teleprompter use, and it's working great for that purpose. Setup was quick, and I appreciate the included phone holder and travel bag. It’s tall enough for standing setups and compact enough to pack easily. That said, it's not a heavy-duty tripod—so if you're planning to mount a large DSLR or bulky camcorder, you might want something sturdier. But for tablets, phones, GoPros, or lighter cameras, it does the job nicely. Solid value for the price.
