Just got this set up in my basement and I’m already noticing a difference in the air quality and moisture level. My basement has always been very damp, so I needed something built for crawl spaces/basements and this seems to be doing the job well so far. It’s also quieter than I expected, which was a nice surprise. I have mine draining directly to my pump and the setup was pretty straightforward. I set this up in my 1500 sq foot basement. We had water seep in during a heavy rain and a number of things were wet. I ran this for a week and it brought the humidity down to 55% Now I run it once a day for 4-6 hours to maintain. Much better than the retail style dehumidifier. I do wish it had a schedule option so it would run daily without me having to turn it on. Very well build, heavy duty product. Edit: if you set the moisture at your desired setting, it will shut off once it gets to 2 points below and kick back on when it’s 1 or two points over. Makes it nice to not have to turn it on daily or purchase the remote separately. ... show more

Like everyone .. I'm tired of filling landfills with dehumidifiers. I've tried them all .. Media, Frigidaire, LG .. and living in Maryland, I only run them 6-7 months / year. All of them fail after 2 years. I just got this unit and so far it's doing the job. I'd say it's a tad louder than the other units (one reason so far I gave a 4/5). I have it in a finished basement which is conditioned. In the summer, we close most of the vents down there and keep it comfy with a dehumifier (otherwise all the cold air would dump into the basement). When I installed it, the humidity was 60%. 2 days later it was down to 50% .. and it's a pretty large space .. over 1,400 sqft. The unit will vary 3% per manufacturer info, so I have it set at 47% and it's showing between 47-50% consistently. The other "knock" I have with the unit is that they don't use a standard garden hose connection for the drain. It's a specific flex-tubing with a clamp. It's working fine, but if you are replacing another gravity-drain unit with hose already run, chances are you'll need to use the supplied hose. Again .. the hose they supply is doing the job .. but it's just not standard in my experience. ... show more

I have been using this unit for five months when I wrote this review and it has been a HUMID summer. Keeps the humidity at my setting of 44%. Mine set on top of my clothes dryer and it drains in to the washing machine stand pipe drain line close by. I did buy a silicone mat (on Amazon) for it set on and a battery water detector just in case a leak happens. The unit is noisy but its in the basement and it moves a lot of air , no problem. I have the blower position so that it blow dry air into the other rooms of the basement. I keep humidity at about 45% which is the set point. We shall see how long it lasts. Other dehumidifiers poop out just after their warranty expires. ... show more

. I bought this dehumidifier for a very damp basement with stone walls, a very wet summer here, so the humidity was in the high 80s in the basement . I ran this in those conditions for about two weeks and it only reduced the humidity by 10%-16% so it was stuck at about 75-77% humidity, I put a fan to circulate air from the damp spots, I changed its location, I measured the output, it was producing about 50 pints per day, but it wasn’t lowering the humidity. I thought it was just overwhelmed so i put it in my second story landing a much smaller area, and much dryer maybe 60% humidity. In a 12 hour Period. it did drain 2 gallons, but only dropped the humidity to 50%. I have been in close communication with customer service, they were very helpful in troubleshooting and responding and really want to improve the product and make sure that their customers are satisfied. The response time was absolutely amazing, and it’s easy to call or email. Honestly the best customer service I’ve had with any product. I would recommend getting a more powerful unit if your humidity is high. The unit is metal. It feels very sturdy and it’s lightweight. I can carry it easily myself up and downstairs. I do wish the power cord and drain hose were longer, It makes it very hard to put it in a central location adequately. The setup was easy. It doesn’t make much noise. overall I’m happy with the company and I will continue to purchase their products. ... show more
