Must have for post Mastectomy surgery
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
This was a life saver for me. All the options for different wedges to sleep! My bed does lift at the head but then both of us would have had to sleep upright-and that's not fair or comfortable. This was magical! I was able to lay very supported, could change or remove wedges as needed. The cover washed well, but I also protected it with twin sheets and thicker queen/king pillow cases. They give you a storage bag which is awesome, so I can use it again when it comes time for reconstruction. I loved how I could use it in the bedroom and as I healed, into the living room sofa- lightweight but plenty firm. DEFINITELY an excellent investment in my healing! ... show more

Good fit for tall people. Good value.
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
I was wondering if I might have been overly dramatic with my hysterectomy prep, but I am now 4 days post op and would do it exactly the same if I knew then what I know now. I chose to get a wedge pillow set because I am a side sleeper and I had difficulty getting comfortable sleeping elevated with what I had in the past after a sinus surgery. I chose THIS set because it seemed to be the best fit for my needs. I am 6 feet tall and this was a longer back pillow than other sets I considered. This set was a good fit for me. I tried different configurations pre-op and found a couple that I thought I might like. I found that one of the lumbar type pillows was softer (made of a different foam). I liked the softer one for my head/neck and the firmer one for my lower back. I used my own pillows for my "arm rests" and to help contain me. I could see a benefit to the set that included the arm pillows with pockets, but I did not need them myself. I spent one night in the hospital but still needed this for one night at home when the trapped gas pain (primarily in my shoulder) prevented me from reclining too much. I liked being able to set the angle to what was most comfortable for me in the moment. I no longer need this pillow set for sleeping. I have moved it to my couch because it is super helpful for resting my body while still being able to read or use a laptop comfortably. The pillow that has the leg cutouts that doubles as a desk I found helpful for putting between my legs for side sleeping, too. I liked that I was able to wash the covers because there was a bit of an odor (I am hypersensitive to odors). I washed and dried them on the delicate cycle and they went back on with no problem. If the pillows are able to be squished back into a vacuum seal bag for storage, that will be nice. I can see how these will still be useful even after recovery though. This was the perfect set for me for the price and for the benefits. I am glad I got them. ... show more

Comfortable. Good quality
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
I read some reviews that said this was on the soft side. I disagree. It is comfortable and the firmness is medium. I can lean back and it does not deflate. I don’t sink into, but rather it lends great support. So many ways for combinations. Everything is adjustable. I have used it in bed and in the couch. I bought this in anticipation of my comfort for an upcoming surgery. I am sure it will help in my comfort and pain relief. The size is great because it fits on the loveseat And covers the edge to my pillows. As I am a larger person the width was perfect. One of the pillows goes over your thighs so you can put a book or laptop on it. One of the pillows is perfect to control the pain in my legs. You can elevate your feet or get support under your knees. The product is lightweight. I mean it is easy to carry. Even when you have several pieces you are moving One of the best products I have bought. ... show more

Good, but perhaps not long term
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
Back support with neck support: worked very well for me to sit comfortably in bed. The pieces themselves are pretty bulky, and having to move them so I could sleep and then position them again wasn't very fun, but they are light enough for it to not have been difficult. While using this pillow, I did receive proper neck support, which significantly reduced stiffness and pain I sometimes get in my neck after sitting too long. The height is fully adjustable, which made it very useful when I would shift around. Knee support: I only occasionally used this, since I couldn't figure out exactly which way to position it. The knee support has one long side and one steep side. If I use the steep side for my thighs and the long side for my lower legs, my lower legs were comfortable and vise versa. But either way, one side of my legs would inevitably end up stiff. Lap pillow/extended leg support: I never used this, due to the dips for the legs being too far apart. Using it on my lap didn't work because it required my legs to be spread apart. Using it on my lower legs was comfortable for a bit and then my body wanted to move. The other pillow/back support/arm rest thing: Didn't work as an armrest. Never tried it as additional back support. Based on how bulky the whole set is, I quickly stopped using this. The product arrived in good condition and fluffed out well. It did have the faint shipping order that comes when items have been compressed a while, but the smell went away quickly. Overall, a good set, though if you can find a set with armrests that is what I would recommend instead. ... show more

This pillow set saved my behind...
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
This is a real review no one has asked me to do this. This pillow set saved my behind for the last 2 weeks - and I am a side sleeper by the way. I had surgery which required me to sleep in an upright position for 2 weeks. I researched several pillow sets and chose this one based on other users' reviews and videos. The pillows are firm yet soft enough to give a little, and the headrest pillow is memory foam which is really nice because it has a lot more give and cush. I used this in several configurations: I could sit upright and read or listen to music or watch TV etc, I could position it a little lower which allowed me to rest more easily but still kept me at around a 45° angle (as requested by surgeon), I used the pillow with the two grooves for your legs as a table top in that I would flip it over and put it over my lap and I could eat in bed or use my computer - and I'm sure there are other configurations that I've not thought of and never attempted, but you will! And it's not that sleep was easy, it's more that it was possible and overall I was as comfortable as I think I could have been under the circumstances. I'm looking forward to just using this from now on as a comfortable way to read in bed or on the sofa and or watch TV etc. I'm attaching two pictures: one where I had the pillows a little lower and one where it was more upright though they look fairly similar. Recommend you look at other users' videos to decide if this is the right pillow set for you. Thank you Yojoker for a truly helpful and excellent product. ... show more

6pcs Orthopedic Bed Wedge Pillow Set
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
I purchased the 6pcs Orthopedic Bed Wedge Pillow Set (white and grey), Black Friday Weekend, prior to my Rotator Cuff surgery. The grey set only comes in 4 pcs. which was not enough pillows for me. When I unboxed the set, I left the pillows sitting out for 3 days to ensure they completed expanded to normal size. I was pleasantly surprised that the pillows did not smell like a warehouse. None the less, I did decide to wash the covers. There are no washing or care instructions for the pillow protectors, therefore, I chose to wash on gentle cycle and dry low heat. I washed them by themselves as I did not want anything to happen to the protectors. I did a little searching on Amazon and Google and found that no one sells extra protectors nor covers for the pillows. I do understand why no covers, the anti-slip portion of the protectors. They would be covered and useless in a pillowcase. I used a modified version of setup number 8, using the second half circle for lumbar support. I used this setup for about 8 weeks after surgery. The large half-moon pillow did slide when getting into bed, and a little during the night. Most of the pillows held up to the stress. I did find a little uneven pressure on the pillow I used for legs. This may have been from how I got into position at night and/or my one leg being heavier when I sleep. I believe I washed the protectors a total of 5 times (including initial out of the box and final before vacuum sealing the cushions). Overall, the covers did stand up well, even with the slip setup I had to sleep in after surgery. There was some pillowing on the lumbar pillow from the sling and the leg pillow from friction. I currently do not see myself using these for the rest of my recovery but will store in the event I need for future use. The 2 vacuum seal bags that come with the set had no instructions on use. Though I had previously never used a vacuum seal bag I knew the principle. The bags feel flimsy to me. I was concerned I would rip the bags while getting the pillows into them. I put all the half circle pillows (3) in one bag and the other pillows (3) in the other bag. The sealing clips gave me a little trouble and one popped off (but was easily put back on once I found it). I was able to remove all the air with my vacuum cleaner. Be careful when screwing the cap back onto the bag as even light pressure on the 'nozzle' portion of the bag can let some air in. I do like how small the pillows get in the vacuum seal bags when you get all the air out. I am hopeful they will store well in bottom of my closet. Time will tell. Overall, I am happy with the purchase. The 6pcs Orthopedic Bed Wedge Pillow Set did a good. I would definitely suggest to friends to consider the set. ... show more

Update: With some minor alterations, Extra pillows, and planning…the set was very useful.
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
5’8” Size: Large top Gen X...Prepping for Rotator Cuff Surgery I could cry I'm so frustrated. I was already concerned about the width of the backrest. Would there be room for me and my shoulder? I checked the width of this and several others pillow sets with a similar set-up. They were all about 22” wide. So, I thought, assumed, hoped, that it would work. Nope….not really. See the pics for the advertised set-up and what I had to arrange to accommodate a post-op shoulder First- The Good: The set is attractive. The backing has the rubber dots (like grippy socks) to hold the pillows in place. The backrest with both bolsters in place is very comfortable. The angle feels natural. The leg pillows are comfortable and help take painful pressure off the sacrum/coccyx (lower back)area. The pieces can all be moved allowing for a lot of adjustments to get your back and legs into a comfortable position . The Bad: The hook and eye (velcro) to hold the bolsters in position on the back rest are VERY weak. They connect (barely) only where they are seen positioned in the product pictures. So, you cannot get creative positioning them for your comfort. There is no other hook and eye fabric used to stick pillows together or get creative with the pieces to find your sweet spot. All the hope for the pillows staying in position is the little rubber dots on the backing. It works if you don't move too much or get out of bed. But, the worst part is the width of the backrest. At 22.4” there is no room for a surgical shoulder unless you are a very petite human. If your bra is a 38” that means your back is about 18” wide. That leaves only 4.4” room for 2 arms. Add on an arm needing a shoulder and bent arm supported and you’re out of room….by 6”+ So, what do I do? Once the pillows are inflated from their specialty packaging it’s a LOT to return. I can sacrifice the leg support for the shoulder room then dIY adding stronger hook and eye straps and material to EVERYTHING 'cause this isn't my first orthopedic rodeo. Once you get the pillows in the right position they NEED…MUST.. stay there. UPDATE: WOW...I was REALLY frustrated when I wrote my review. I’ve added a star. The pillow set was really helpful after rotator cuff surgery. I did add hook and loop to MANY areas as planned. I also used Using this pillow set let me sleep in my bed from day 1. I didn’t need the recliner. The lap/leg pillow was a favorite for daytime.as ... show more

Just what I needed
Color: Gray Size: 6 Piece Set
Exactly what I needed for post-surgery recovery. The pieces could change around as I needed different positions, and no matter how much weight I put on them, they would always spring back to their original shape. They offered great support in a bunch of different arrangements.
