The function of these lights are great. They were easy to install, you can choose the color via a physical switch on the disc, and it produces a lot of light (3200 lumens). They were easily brighter and used less power than my traditional domed lights commonly used for hallways, bathrooms, and closets. The size is also quite thin and unobtrusive to blend into the ceiling. They just look like white disc, or if turned on a circle of bright light on the ceiling. The overall aesthetic looks a little sterile to me. It would works well in a closet or bathroom, but for a hallway or regular room you'd have to change other light fixtures to match or it looks out of place. ... show more

I’ve been doing some remodeling and that has included upgrading some old recessed lighting fixtures. However, I was also looking for some lighting that was a little larger, still LED powered and looked sleek and modern. I’m swapping out all lighting for LED so they run cooler and cheaper and last longer. I saw these and decided to give them a try. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The size of the lights are very nice and they throw off a lot of light, more than my ceiling fan globes and other ceiling mounted fixtures. And the light is more consistent than some of my fixtures with two bulbs in them. I also like that you can adjust the color temperature to best match the finish on your walls and the type of flooring you have. I like a whiter light in bathroom and kitchen areas and a warmer color in bedrooms and living spaces. Installation was fairly easy and straight forward and very much the way they show in the listing. Everything you need is provided, including screws and anchors and wire nuts. Make sure you’re being safe and careful, not just with electricity but also in handling and mounting this item because the frame is, I don’t want to say fragile, but thin and plastic. They connected nicely to my Romex (there is no ground connection) and before I knew it, I had a great looking light on the ceiling that gave new life to an old room. I didn’t use these outside, like in a patio, or in wet areas, like a bathroom, so I can’t speak to your experience in more harsh environments. At less than $20 per fixture, I’d consider this a good value. ... show more

This was just the perfect light I was looking for to install in my living room. I was looking for something to replace my outdated downlight that was not highlighting my wooden ceiling. With this light, I was able to achieve what I wanted of putting an emphasis on my unique ceiling. The adjustable color temperature is good to have, as I was able to find the right temp for the occasion that I will have. The installation was so easy, as long as you follow the instructions. There's only two wires to connect, but you have to make sure that you turn off the circuit that you will be working on before anything else. For the negative comment, not much of it but the ceiling/wall mount being plastic. You have to be careful when tightening the screws so it doesn't crack.
