I purchased this item as a gift for my son and his fiancee (at their request). Never heard of it before. They have said they really like how the bulbs work with the remote control -- all the options for changing warmth/brightness. So, second hand, but a good review.

I wasn't quite sure if i was getting one or two lamps from the listing. It came with one lamp, one remote, one bulb but two lamp shades... i have no clue why you would send 2 shades when you send one of everything else. I got the lamp set up easy enough and the foot on and off button works nice. My other complaint though is i Could not for the life of me pair my remote to the lamp to change the light settings since there are 3 different light settings that can only be used via remote. I put new fresh batteries in and when id hit power the remote would light up red. So knew batteries worked but with the instructions it came with i couldn't get it to pair. i Gave up. Light setting was to duff for me and im afraid to get a higher wattage led bulb. ... show more

4 stars because the light bulb and remote did not come with instructions on how to sync with each other. Common complaint is that the remote does not work with the light. I don’t remember which button I held down while holding the pull string down but after a few second of holding the button and pull string down the light began flashing and the remote started to work. ... show more

Works well enough as a plain lamp. I was unable to get the remote to pair which negates the concept of having a dimmable lamp. Its just a very bright , plain lamp. Not worth what I paid for it.

Ok, I know bulbs can be dimmable and sometimes change between 3 'temperatures' (like warm, daylight, blue light, something like that), but these bulbs have varying degrees of those 'temperatures'! I've not seen that before and It's pretty impressive. (I may have uttered an audible 'whaaa?') Another reviewer mentioned the high quality of the remote controller and I agree--it's solid, like a tv remote, and works seamlessly..... once you figure out how to pair it with the bulbs. I could not get it to work and I tried repeatedly, following the included instructions. I think I simply didn't press the power button long enough, maybe. I really am not sure what I finally did right, but once I got it working, I was very impressed, and I highly recommend. ... show more
