  • Make sure you read the instructions and get yourself educated
Really easy to sprout very difficult to grow inside, but I highly recommend them. I didn’t have much luck, but I was busy. I will give it another try.

  • These seeds don’t produce flowers
I purchased 60 lotus seeds. I put 20 in water in 4 separate bowls and only 10 of them rooted. The water turned slimy and I had to constantly rinse them. They didn’t bloom. Huge waste of time on an obviously inferior product. Save your money.

  • So far so good
The media could not be loaded. Received and begin to plant the seeds, August 28 2024 , on September 1 2024 we have some growth. I placed seeds in serval locations to see which is the best location. And as for the beginning it seams to me the seeds in fish water show results faster. The bag of seeds came with no instructions, which is fine because I just looked up the information on the Internet like I always do just to be on the safe side in case there’s a mistake in the instructions anyway. Right now, there are loose seeds with no root fertilizer because they’re brand new when they start to show more growth. I will transplant them to a proper planter with aquatic substrate and add root fertilizer sticks as needed, which I found the instructions on not only the fertilizer themselves, but also the Internet. In both bags that I ordered of seeds there were several floating, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad. They just are going to take longer to show any kind of growth so I won’t give up on them. 50% of the bag of seeds were prepped for immediate planting meaning the holes were already cut or filed down in the shell. I received several seeds so the value is good in my opinion, but to an extent due to the fact that I don’t know what colors I received if they’re all the same color, then know the value is not equivalent to my order, but if they are all different and I got exactly what I asked for then I’m happy at that point Which since they don’t bloom until summer, I won’t find out until next summer until then I will see only the leaves which is fine because that’s what I want. Healthy leaves. My fish and snails do not disturb the seeds in my out door tank so they are doing fine sitting there it looks like. I have gold fish and koi in a 89 Galen out door tank. The seeds in my 0.8 Galen tank you also see in the photos are growing good so far too. they will be moved as they get larger to a water plant tub for my garden image. But bc I don’t want to shock them, I will keep them in the small tank until I see roots. Or until they get too big. Only bc I can feed them and change the water and keep filter on them much easier then in a tub of mud.. as they grow I’ll give updates. But so far so good. ( hoping I serval colors Not just one ) ... show more

  • Good thing they give you 60pc
Most of them don't grow....just a few have actually started to grow...easy functioning, haven't noticed a whole lot of rot with them, and haven't had any grow beyond the seed. The seeds growing are beautiful!

  • A fun thing to try but may not bloom first season?
The media could not be loaded. I bought these just for fun, having never “raised” water plants before. I out all seeds in water not sure if the germination/survival rate. They DID sprout within three days of soaking in water (80%sprouted), had shoots coming out of the water at 7days and then leaves upon the water at 14days. I read that flowers do not appear the first year so the photos of gorgeous flowers are a “potential future outcome” if your plants survive that long. Bees seem to prefer landing on the pads rather than my birdbath that has no such enticing greenery. I put all sprouted seeds in one large serving bowl but had to move them to a larger bucket. We’ll see what happens. I may be surprised with a flower or two in 2 months who knows. Bees will love it even more! 😍 ... show more

  • No bloom as advertised.
Extremely disappointed. Actually, less than 1 start but that option isn't available. The ad shows bulbs being dropped in water and blooming. I dropped 10 bulbs in water but they never bloomed. They did grow roots. That's it. The lotus pattie grew and flopped over the sides of my container. Very unattractive and not at all what was advertised. Perhaps, info on time frame, etc., was left out. I returned the unused portion for a refund. ... show more

  • Now What do I do? This is amazing
Received 2/21/25-Now, 10 days later- Not expecting much. Started out with 5 of the seeds. Soaked for 2 days in warm water. They all sprouted! Added 5 more...They sprouted! Decided to just soak them all. Glass casserole dish on a heating pad keeps water warm enough and I change the water twice a day. 32 are sprouting and now I'm not sure what I should do. The others are looking they might sprout as well. I need ideas on what type of containers I can put them in? A Birdbath? Is that deep enough? Any ideas are welcome. ... show more

  • Just disappointing
I got these for my birthday, the beginning of January. And they have still not bloomed. There were very few instructions that came with them and as I said, they have still not bloomed. I was looking forward to these but now I am just disappointed!
