I have a second piercing in both ears and have several posts for them but no hoops. I wanted small huggie hoops that were not going to irritate but didn’t want to spend a lot. These little hoops have been perfect. They are small to hug the ear but easy to open and place on. The clasps hold together fine. The gold is shiny and looks high quality. I wanted the black stones to go with a lot that I wear, and they look very nice. And best part is that they are comfortable and haven’t “ear-itated” at all! (Sorry - couldn’t resist.). These earrings were perfect for what I wanted. I can't wear dangly earrings to work, and I was getting tired of wearing studs all the time. These huggies are just enough to be what I wanted. They click together nicely so you know it's holding tight. I've never had one pop open on me. They are cute. I advise if you’re getting them for kids because the bar that goes in your ear is short and a little difficult to get in your ear because it’s a little small to hold. It’s a really light metal and it is working with my ears since I need hypoallergenic materials even my mom wears them and she also needs hypoallergenic materials, and these don’t eat at our ears at all. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and have basically never taken them out. I don’t know if this is normal but I’ve noticed the part that goes in my ear has started turning silver, almost like the gold was dyed. It has started irritating my ears because it’s flaking off. A couple months in the clasps did become weak and some can be hard to clip together.
