I was so glad I bought this!!! I needed to create a less echoing style of video and this has greatly improved my video quality. I did wish it sat higher and still encased the microphone, while damaging the sound. The price was the reason I bought it, but the easy assembly and the solid material is what made me keep it. I have heavier mic, so having a stand that can support my microphone was a must. If you’re looking for a good sound dampening device, this is an excellent way to go!!!

I got this for my daughter who is very into singing and wants to start a YouTube channel. I have absolutely no experience or skills with this kind of equipment, but it was a good start and is working well for us at our amateur level. Easier to set up and has everything you need to create good sound space. Maybe I'll dabble with a podcast As I always say, durability is a unknown at this point but I will update this review

Why would you specifically say in the description that it’s compatible with a blue yeti? I buy a blue yeti specifically for the use of this and it doesn’t even fit the shock mount, the item was pushed back 2 days shipping and then that so the little things add up, I now have to go out of my way to buy a shock mount that will work which is more time i have to wait to use what I bought 2 weeks ago and more money on top of that. UPDATE: Without even contacting them, the company reached out and offered to give me a full refund. When I told them I didn’t need a refund but they could send me the popper stopper, etc., they said they weren’t able to send out individual parts but could give me a partial refund, which they did. I have to be grateful that they responded to this when so many others would have read my initial criticism and gone about their day. I’ll also add that I am using the shield (without the stand, which is too short for me), and it worked just as well as I hoped. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This was obviously a used item. There was a hole in the top of the box, and the advertised to be included tray and 'popper stopper' were not in the box. I am really tired of buying things advertised as new and then receiving used ones that don’t even include all of the components. Also , but less important to me, the stand is very short and is completely unadjustable, making it useless. I would return it, but I already have several popper stoppers, and the six-panel shield, though completely plastic, was essentially what I was looking for. Just order the cheaper set of this without the extras. You probably won't get the other things, anyway.

Very cheaply built. Which might be fine for the price, except the stand doesn’t extend tall enough for me at 5’ 8” and doesn’t collapse besides unscrewing. I expected it to be poor quality but not completely useless.

I was looking for something that I could easily take down in my home office in between recording sessions and Zoom meetings. The TEMCUAM isolation shield definitely fits the bill. It is light weight and the acoustic foam is a great pattern to break up any noise distortion. The frame is a durable plastic, which is in line with the price. If it was metal that would definitely be too heavy for the application to a boom stand. I was using a free standing mic stand, which I have to say you should expect. Those reviews saying they had to dig out a stand or find something to attach their mics to in order to use this product, definitely were not reading the description or looking at the product pictures. This is an isolation shield, not a mic stand. It was easy to fit my particular desk stand with this shield and I did not have to make use of the adapters that were included, but it is nice to have them present. The shield definitely aided in cutting out some of the sound bounce that I have in my office, which has a lot of flat surfaces in my immediate recording area. Having this isolation system makes a difference. I would say with the bit of work it takes to get the shield on a stand, I would say that my option of a portable desktop stand would be best suited with a dedicated stand, so you are not having to add and remove the shield. You could also use a low profile boom stand and mic combo, but I would again dedicate it to the shield and mic combo, just to save you time. Last, you could also have a mic that sits low on a desktop (smaller stand) and the shield has small feet on it so it could just rest on flat surface. There are a lot of out of the box options that can take advantage of this shield and a variety of different recording options. Lastly, it folds up nice for storage when not in use or if you need to transport the shield between gigs. Overall, very stoked to have this piece of equipment for my future meetings and recordings.
