I'm a music enthusiast and I like trying a lot of these different products for music equipment and enhancing my environment that I create music in. I would just like to say that these microphone stands with these sound backing pads make a drastic difference. I would actually go as far to say that that alone maybe enough of a difference to give you a quality sound even if you don't have a booth or a proper recording space. I'm very very happy with this product. I'd recommend this to anyone who is in need of a new microphone stand and is also a music enthusiast. It's adjustable so you can make it taller shorter. By default it comes up to about my chest and I'm 6 ft. It takes up a little bit of space as far as the tripod foot design that opens up very wide and takes up kind of a lot of floor space but that's not a deal breaker. The build quality I would say standard not amazingly high quality but it's not cheap cheap quality either. The way it's pretty lightweight pretty easy to knock over hence the tripod foot design the better design higher quality microphone stands are the ones with their big round heavy base at the bottom and those don't take up as much floor space they're also a lot sturdier and more sound dampening as well those are the best of the options of what you could purchase if you were looking for that. But this is still functional and a good deal for the money.
